In short: It makes very little difference whether you're running 1500 or 2000 watts, difference in rim size probably made the 2000 a little slower than it could be, but frankly, 40mph on effectively just a mountain bike ought to be fast enough for ya, unless you have a real death wish.
I agree 40mph on skinny rims is plenty else asking for trouble. I think it was the 29er rim that gave the 1500w an advantage on top speed then maybe also affected its acceleration. Bikes like this arnt built to cope with speeds above 40mph, if people want faster get a motorbike
@@bryanteixeira-pires2917 yes, a 1500w hub motor with a 52v battery can hit 37-38 on flat ground sometimes even a tad more depending on the maker. And a 2000w 52v motor can reach upto 40mph+

yeah guys lol. i see 2000 watt and 3000 watt all over the place but only 1500 for sale.... im also thinking wait if all these guys are making these 3000 watt bikes why dont i just get the battery for a 3000 watt and use a 1500 watt AW...now that id like to see! miles! not speed... feel me? lol lets see how far we can get one to go. i guess you charge while you sleep rite... worried it wouldn't last all day running around doing my shit and what not. but yeah where does all this crap come from?
can you answer me this question the 2000 Watt bike does it show that you are using 2000w all the time when you give it full Throttle or is it just when it is starting off like on a steep Hill it gives you 2000 watts and then does it go down to like say 1500w 1700w . What I'm trying to say is does it give you a full 2000 watt constant
A 2000-watt e-bike doesn't use 2000 watts constantly. It uses up to 2000 watts during high-demand situations like starting off or climbing steep hills. When cruising on flat terrain or at a steady speed, it uses less power, typically around 1500 watts or lower, depending on conditions. The power output varies to match the riding demands and ensure efficiency. Hope this helps.
@@MrJLiebert yeah that sounds about right to me I was just concerned that mine was a bit fucked on a fresh battery on high demand gives me 2030 Watts and then it drops to around 1640 once at steady speed
if you strap a huge bluetooth speaker blasting out American Flyer Siundtracks ( really cool 1985 cycling movie) it will make your rides even more awesome. 2 wheels good!

Thanks and glad you like the ebike content. I think these kits are reliable but not done 1000s of miles yet. If not abused and constant throttle they should be OK, no burnouts or jumps and stick to the road stuff. They are great fun I really enjoy mine. Never tried a 250w but like you say they are pretty robust and reliable I hear.
It may be worth doing a dual wheel conversion so two 250 w hub motors running off existing battery. I did this on a halfords bike and the power increase/traction is almost unreal going up hills!
i wonder how much efficiency difference between the 1.5 and 2k bike, needing a bigger battery to hit the same millage, was looking at some chinnese ebike with 3000w looking like a dirt bike, but that would probably get you you caught quickly in urban public roads
Yes you have a good point I'm unsure but I can see what you mean. I wonder, how could that be tested ? Any ideas ? That was probably a stealth bomber bike
