Honestly, all I can say about this is that I am VERY concerned. I would much prefer if AI labs did not collaborate with any sort of military or weapons development company.
Apple and Microsoft just leaving the board, while I didn't want them on the board in the first place makes me concerned, because it makes no sense and there are obviously weird things going on with none of us getting any explanations.
I am not happy about any of this. AGI companies really should be required to be fully transparent with the public, given their potential impact.

Not to get too political, but Altman & Musk are of the same group (among many others) that are shadow-headed by a man named Peter Thiel. He's a quite powerful figure that is a common root for many of the current top execs and up-in-comers climbing the ladder fast and directly to the tops of these companies. One other name, JD Vance, was a relatively random person put on by Thiel in OH senate... just over a yr ago. While losing his race almost the whole time, Thiel injected above $20M to overwhelm the other prospects - frankly annihilating them. This greatly boosted Vance to the top and over the finish line.
Yesterday Trump announced Vance is his VP pick. So in other words, he's Thiel's key to merging his tech prospects into the govt and beyond. What's increasingly present lately are bots and bot-nets that are bootstrapping AI for comment sections and posts all over the internet for political dictation. The danger here is inherent.
Having the ability to not only deploy a propaganda machine, but an AI driven propaganda machine with limitless funds, clever contexts/conversational takes, being friends with Elon and having unfettered/unchecked access to Twitter and the insane AI compute power Thiel has... it's a bit scary as to their motives and intentions. Incidentally, Thiel, while a 'tech bro', also maintains an agenda that is authoritarian by nature.
Adding it all up, you have Thiel that's 1 heartbeat away from the most powerful position on earth, agenda in hand, and the bleeding edge AI there to bolster his will.
If you are concerned about the Govt and AI, this is where you look. It's one thing to use a new technology but a whole other ball game when you have these actors with motivations for a future under their influence, a time where you wouldn't even know it until it's far too late. Scary shit, even scarier future this could mean should the wrong people be allocated the power to begin with.

I prefer when he gets straight to the point, so I had ChatGPT summarize it, saving you guys 26 minutes:
-OpenAI, a leading AI research lab known for products like ChatGPT, is reportedly losing control to a "bigger, darker entity," possibly the US government and its agencies.
-Significant internal changes at OpenAI include the appointment of influential figures like Larry Summers and Paul Nakasone, who have strong ties to US government and military agencies.
-A leaked document revealed a top-secret project called QAR, allegedly in collaboration with the NSA, suggesting OpenAI's involvement in potentially dangerous AI research.
-OpenAI has altered its terms and conditions to allow military use of its technology and has formed partnerships with DARPA and Los Alamos National Laboratory, indicating deeper integration with government interests.
-Recent withdrawals by Microsoft and Apple from OpenAI's board, along with increased scrutiny from regulatory bodies, highlight concerns about monopolistic control and the influence of the US government on OpenAI's operations.

the choices are- USA, China, Russia, North Korea- which do you pick? if this is going to be as powerful as proclaimed, it is hard to imagine that some benevolent, none existent entity will control it. there is a cost in hardware that will also rule out some players. and if it is the US it will not be "nationalized" since they could have done that with the internet from the beginning and didnt and there are few if any industries that are 'nationalized' in the US.

Very useful - thank you. My one objection is the inaccurate reference to "government" and "U.S. government". A government is what the people elect to enact laws, policies, regulations, etc. However, the political power to APPLY these laws, etc. is held by the unelected STATE. This error is extremely common, and is strongly encouraged by the state, which seeks to remain hidden. The Aschenbrenner document uses the term "security state", which is a bit closer to the truth.

Thank you for attempting to explain what you understand so far. Obviously, from my point of view, you are a beginner at decoding what is actually going on. TH-cam and the people who control it actually hate this type of content. You could be "labeled", as a "conspiracy theorist". The statistics of the video will be subverted before you see the stats, to keep the viewership low. Well, conspiracy is obvious! The overall gist of your video is correct, but you're making several naive assumptions, which is holding back your potential analysis. Please keep digging around, peeling back the layers of the onion, think outside the box, and then you will discover you're in another box, and then another. Try not to let the paranoia seep in. The situation is much worse than you can imagine. I've been analyzing situations like this for 22 years. I've been following every aspect of AI for 47 years. AI is one of the Technologies that will be used to enslave humanity by the occultists/globalists. As a scientist and an engineer, I know of the suppression of free energy technology and anti-gravity technology. Most of the conspiracy theory and free energy technology information has been stripped from the internet in the last 22 years. It used to be a thriving community, not unlike the AI community. Concerned citizens trying to organize and understand a mass of conflicting information, fighting a global conspiracy to prevent all Humanity from becoming successful. A conspiracy by psychopath Occultists who use psychological warfare against us. These are the people who commissioned the Georgia Guidestones. The same people and Families whose gross political incompetence has led us to this dire situation humanity faces today. As it has already played out before in the lead up to World War I and World War II, World War III, is in the end game of its planning stages, and their plan to reduce the human population to 500 million so they can play God! This scenario is about to play out unless the collective "We" can stop it! AI must be applied to help all of humanity. It can be clearly demonstrated that all humans can live at an unprecedentedly high standard of living, without destroying the environment or disadvantaging others. My teacher's name was Buckminster Fuller. I recommend studying his book Critical Path, and the companion book, GRUNCH of Giants. Among many other honors that Bucky received, he was awarded 47 honorary doctorates and the presidential medal of freedom, by Ronald Reagan, even after confirming the position of "The President of the United States" is a puppet position! Because by that time Reagan knew what he had gotten himself into.

Golden shares can be issued by public companies or governments. One of these shares controls at least 51% of voting rights. In the case of a company, it can only issue golden shares after passing special resolutions and changing its memorandum and articles of association. This document governs or dictates a company's relationship with outside businesses.
Golden shares were most popular during the 1980s when the British government began privatizing companies and wished to retain control over them. Governments in other parts of Europe and the Soviet Union also followed suit.
    ...
However, there are also pitfalls to golden shares. Critics argue that golden shares give the holder far too much control, especially if that control goes above and beyond the wishes of other shareholders.

I deem that new AI (liquid neural network, etc)will still spread in (developed nation),as in capitalism society, capitalist holds resources like AI,and capitalist want to earn money which is a feature of capitalist .so they will sell AI goods to consumers.trend of development of society is unstoppable.and capitalist is one to push the trend even they don’t want .

I appreciate your perspective and the interesting points you raise. While it’s true that the U.S. has caused significant harm in various contexts, it’s also important to recognize the positive impacts it has had globally. For example, the U.S. played a crucial role in World War II, helping to save the world from fascism, and contributed to ending World War I. Acknowledging both the good and the bad can help foster more balanced and productive discussions. Your ideas are valuable, and framing them in a way that others can hear and consider might strengthen the conversation.

Man just forget about AI, it's a stupid name for some algorithms. In the strict sense AI doesn't exist, it's just corporate propaganda, some OpenAI software engineers said in 10 years it will increase quality of life tremendously for mankind, and will allow discovering disruptive medications for cancer and other diseases, another one said that the AI revolution is only comparable to the discovery of fire by mankind. From now on I'll give a dislike to every video about AI since the video author is part of the problem.
