Very comprehensive video, I know you can eyeball line up a clutch and pressure plate but you should really promote using an alignment tool! They are so inexpensive but take the guess work out of it!
Agreed Jon... I can't ever get a clutch assembly to fit perfectly without an alignment tool. I feel a little attention to a simple cleaning off some ugly dirt might also be a good idea. I'd NEVER do that to my car without some attention to grit and grime removal.
I could've done with this video about 12 years ago, when the Polo 6N was popular (and newish). The only thing that let them down was the gearboxes, as they're made of chocolate!
Good video but I'm not sure if the position of the release bearing spring pointing out (look at 14:57) is correct or should be pointing inwards (needs to be turned 180° to do this).
Unfortunately, there is no such replacement, we can recommend other videos RENAULT MEGANE 2 - th-cam.com/play/PLWep5LzT0sxn6nG18knxG4k4To6CEFmhi.html AUTODOC
Buy a Haynes manual. One of the most important pieces of kit you can buy for your car, if you're ever planning to do DIY. In the book, it has all the torque settings. Other ways are, software the garages use, for VAG Group, you have ETKA which has all the info, including part numbers, etc.

Thank you for sharing your opinion!
Finally some more advanced video. Good job AutoDOC! Note, that engine support tool can be replaced by other means....much cheaper ones.

How does one figure out the torque specs for the bolts? I've always been curious when I see videos like these that show torque specs so casually.

@@Logicalx I'll take a look and see what I can find. Thanks for the info, really appreciate it.
Great video, do you have any on a manual polo 6n2? Even though they are very similar.
Unfortunately, we don't have any videos for VW POLO 6n2.
