    Idk if there is anything left for you to make a video about USMLE. You have literally made things very easy for everyone who feels lost in this long process. Looking at your journey from scratch, it feels very motivating and happy to see you succeed and guide people. Always wish the best for you in everything. 🤗🤗🤗

    Hi. I am a big fan of your video and I would like to say a big thank you for all you do for IMGs. I have a question. Were you still sending letters of interest during the end of January and February during your match season?

      So glad you find them useful :) it may be a bit late but trying wouldn’t hurt!

    Thank you for the informative video. I have a question
    Does failing the subject of the specialty I want to apply to in med school and repeating the year as a result a redeemable/explainable red flag?
    After this failure I started to prepare for Step 1 during that year and managed to a pass with a good score for the specialty I want, and I even got a good grade in that subject the next year. I then took Step 2ck and got an even better score and I feel the trajectory of my medical career changed because of that failure. But I feel it sounds horrible to someone casually reading my application

      Hey! It’s pretty subjective. I feel if your step scores are strong and you’ve shown an overall growth, then it’s def not a red flag!

    thanks a lot, I just took step 2 ck this week and Im looking to see if I can complete pathways 1 as soon as I get my step 2 score, any advice? someone said that I shoul start checking on the OET and have it ready by the time I get my score but Im not sure how long does it take to prepare for that

    • @IshwariChandran
      @IshwariChandran  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can apply for pathway without your step 2 score. After applying for pathway, you've to make your OET scores available to them. More about ECFMG certification: th-cam.com/video/M1wrLwd-k2E/w-d-xo.html

    Hello, Is telerotation observer? what can we write in the "Position" section while making an ERAS CV?

    • @IshwariChandran
      @IshwariChandran  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wrote “medical student” for position.
      If it was an observership then you can mention “observer” if it was hands on, you can mention “extern” (if you did it after graduation)

    Hello
    My medical school is accredited by WFME but when I visit the website of accredited universities of the country I'm studying it states that the " accreditation decision does not include undergraduate course of clinical medicine offered to international students" (I'm from India but I'm studying in China). For now I'm eligible to apply via pathway 3 but I'm planning on giving my exam by 2026 ...do I have any problem with ecfmg certification?
    Will they accept either accredited medical school or program...or both are necessary? Could you clear this please?

    • @IshwariChandran
      @IshwariChandran  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d recommend reaching out to ECFMG directly. They may be able to clarify

    In usmle do they separate imgs into different categories based on their medical degree? Some said that ppl who have done medicine from their home countries highly preferred in terms of Imgs?

    • @IshwariChandran
      @IshwariChandran  ปีที่แล้ว

      Program directors see a lot of things including your experiences, LORs, scores, interviewing skills etc. Some programs aren’t “IMG-friendly” though while some are.

    Hey mam. Can you make a video about how to do Networking ?🥺

    • @IshwariChandran
      @IshwariChandran  ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be quite challenging honestly. I’d say, try reaching out to your seniors. Meet people at conferences. Stay in touch w your LoR writers. Social media!
