Love turning wet, green Madrona and watching it dry into its own choice of shapes. Abranet is my preferred sanding medium for wet wood. Nice job on that burl wood.
Very cool! I kept thinking that each decision you made was exactly what this piece needed. Not sure I would have made each of them, but I’m happy you did. Beautiful piece and work!
Madrone is a very reactive wood that will change shape as it dries. The shrink wrap was just to try and slow down the drying process cause I had to stop turning for the day. Best of luck with your turning journey!
Yes...I like this one! Intetesting turning!

Me too! Can't wait to see how this one warps.
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks Will we see it?
Nice piece. The thunderstorms in the background is an interesting effect.
Thanks George! I was in a hurry to get the piece finished so I couldn't wait around for the thunder to quite down!
Looks great 👍
Great work my friend.
Many thanks Clyde!
Your decisions along the way were spot on. Great looking form.
Thanks Rex. Seems I've been rethinking the pieces a lot lately.
@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks I have been watching Richard Raffan videos and his though processes help challenge the way I look and shape wood too.
That turned out really cool, Robert!
Thanks Billy!
great job again
Thanks Mark!

Thanks Doug! I feel I need to buy some smaller hollowing tools now. May look into some of the Hunter tool carbide ones at some point.
Looks good, like the thunderstorm.
I have never had the opportunity to turn madrone but this piece turned out beautiful Robert. Harry can pick up the pieces.
Stunning little piece Robert! Nice job!
Thanks!
Damn thats nice never heard of madrone wood before looks cool
Comes from the Pacific Northwest of the USA. It's a lot of fun to turn wet cause it distorts and warps a lot as it dries.
Awesome job. Turned out awesome
Thanks Michael!
This looks so beautiful.
Oh how pretty! It would have made a sweet lidded box too.
It would have! Problem is that it was really wet so it's going to be doing a lot of moving as it dries.
Hi Rob, that should be interesting!
Nice 👍
Lovely piece. Did you have any luck with the tool suppliers???😊
Not yet Sue...but Harry is pretty patient for a beaver!
Nice, Robert. Shameless plea from Harry for tools.
Bill
Harry says a beaver can never have to many toys.
Hi, I'm still learning about turning. What is the purpose of shrink wrapping the wood please?

@@HodgePodgeWoodWorks Thank you, much appreciated. 👍
