This is great! What a treat to see this. The horn brings back memories. I was watching the N&W on the other side of the lake.
I remember seeing some of those open autoracks on trains on the Cayuga subdivision when I was young.
Cool. I didn't know the N&W ran all the way between Detroit and Buffalo. I thought they only went as far as St. Thomas to serve the Ford plant.
Thanks for posting this! As far as I know this is the only footage of N&W in Canada or at least in the townline tunnel!
this was later name as NS 328 THIS WAS A Quicker route to Bison Yard and a connection to Conrail 's NSSE
Have anymore Welland or Cayuaga videos??
I have some more from 1990

Isn’t that the line that once went through St. Thomas?
yes it was
Some of those auto racks are probably still in service
This video shows some old style auto racks before the covered ones were made.
Those autorail cars must've had 1985 model vehicles
Wish I could of saw what the make and models were. Oh well 🤷♂️
@@azrailfan2717 I'm wondering if they Ford's coming from The Oakville, Ontario plant
