Oh man I’d love to see this guy at next year’s conferences!!!
We’ve been to the last 2 and they’ve been wonderful. Thank you for putting on such a great event!
Finally someone is talking about goats!!! Love my dairy goats❤️
I really loved this episode! His passion for goats is infectious!
I have been a fan of Mark for a couple years. Great interview and info. I learned today not to use corrid, unfortunately too late. But I will be tuning in more closely Mark. Love your willingness to educate🤗
Marc has helped me via his youtube videos so much with my goats and just putting together a happy herd. The squirt bottle at the gate has been my biggest game changer. no more 10 goats rushing for the milk stand!
Fantastic information!!
I love my goats! I have Nigerian dwarf, Nubian, and myotonics. I love that myotonic goats don't climb fences!
This speaker is definitely biased, he's sugar coating alot
Great chat!
Great episode!!!
I've been very curious about this subject. Everyone we talk to about goats say don't do it, they are horrible!! But We are seeing more and more people around our rural area with goats. I am inspired to investigate further and expand my knowledge!! Thank you both!
Have enough fence lines with HOT enough charges to teach them to stay in the paddock.
Umm...That was freaking AWESOME!!!
We just got 3 doelings in March(Alpine/ Toggenburg cross and 1 full Toggenburg...2 and 3 weeks old, to be our future milkers. We have zero pasture, so we are in the process of turning their area into dry lot. We had always heard to just get a doe in milk or pregnant...but having never been around goats, we opted for the least intimidating of the breed. 😂 We bottle fed for 4 months, and they are fat, super sweet, bealthy babies. We learned a LOT from Deborah Neiman here on YT. She has a wealth of knowledge, especially about nutrition. For example, as much as we love Redmond Salt...their minerals do not have enough copper to meet a goat's needs. You want Sweetlix or Purina Goat Minerals(which are honestly too high in salt...mine wouldn't eat them)...anywho..glad to have another resource to check out! Goats IMHO are just as expensive as a cow, upfront. We have created a goat medical kit, which is not cheap...plus you want to buy from a reputable breeder with a clean heard. So that isn't really "cheap". But we love them so much! My husband was just playing along when I said I wanted goats...he had no desire😂 Then I would see him sneaking cuddles while bottle feeding them. 😅 I wish we could find more info on how to AI, as that will likely be the route we take.
Great interview. You look great.
Marc is awesome
Why have I not subscribed before!!??!!
good goats are the g.o.a.t. animal
a gift from god, the g.o.a.t. to us and our mother earth
This was a fantastic discussion!! It has totally opened my mind about goats!! Thank you!!
I'm a person that said I'd never get a goat, but recently decided that I think we're able to take on some feeder wethers until the fall to try it out. This talk was great even though it was geared toward long-term ownership/care. I appreciate the direction to additional resources as well!
What kind of predator protection do goats require? Are they as vulnerable as sheep?
Goats should: graze 30% grasses, forage 10% broadleaves/weeds, and browse 60% woody, trees, shrubs.
