    It would be INCREDIBLY helpful if, after each round or row, you could lay out the work and show where you started and what it is supposed to look like when the work for that row is completed. Or show where stitch markers should be placed in order to mark where the ends stop and start. I have had to frog this about four times now because it is confusing where you stop and start the "row" work as opposed to the "round" work. Other than that small problem, this is a gorgeous pattern and I can't thank you enough for sharing.

      Yes I agree snd the work is high and it’s hard to see the stitching

    Joanna Ty for another great tutorial I was a little lost between pineapple 4 and 5 at first I thought todo them togther because they were on the same level which I did , ofc I did have some major issues then . And after staring at it on my kitchen counter for a hour I thought to myself hello , crochet them as a single pineapple problem solved .
    To all the peeps downstairs being frustrated , it is quite a advance pattern , and in Joanna's defence she did jump here and there but if you were adance enough and have been taking the pattern in you should know its all about simple repeats. Anyway ty Jonanna have been a fan for ages , only had the courage now to start doing your pineapple doily's!!!
    Much love from the UK
    Michael

    The pattern is nice. At the end of each round if u can inform the viewers how many clusters are there. It would have been helpful. I completed row 13 to realise that something went wrong at the start. I have tried to follow other videos of yours, u need to update the stich count at the end so we can rectify it on the same row. I am sure a lot of the viewers would agree 😂😂

    It would be really helpful to have a stitch count (or at least a cluster count) at the end of each row. Also, it makes it difficult when the section you are working on goes out of frame at the top of the screen

    • @CrochetwithJoanna

    Thank you for the beautiful patterns but as previously mentioned after each row it would be extremely helpful to see a picture of the entire article to make sure that ours looks like yours. And also, to have you announce what row you are on or give a list of time stamps for the starting of a new row. It is hard to locate a specific spot if you have had to frog some work.

    I love everything you make on here! Your instructions are wonderful. But for some reason I'm having a had time understanding row 16? Please don't write out the pattern since I can't read patterns. I've listened to the video at least twenty times and I'm not understanding. I'm gonna step away from this project for a few days to see if that will help me clear my head. Ugh. Thank you for listening to me rant and rave.

      I can't figure out that row either because she misspeaks "double crochet" for " single crochet", for example, and then she doesn't show her work so you can figure out what's going on. I'm so pissed of!!! I finally gave up because i couldn't figure it out. I think she should find a new job.

      She's right. I'm glad she caught on. You need to do 1 group 3DC CH3 (it'll be a set of 4)
      3 groups of 3DC CH3 (set of 3)
      2 groups of 3DC CH3 (set of 4)
      3 groups of 3DC CH3(set if 3)
      Then the last 3DC CH3 (set of 4)
      Each side will mirror itself.

    I need to know why one of my stitch don't match the pattern. I think you should have lay the work flat so we know if we are working the pattern correctly. I ended up with 19 straight shells so I got 2 pineapple at the same sides..
    You started off with 29 treble in the beginning.. I think that's where it got uneven for me...

    • @mygodisawsomePHES
      @mygodisawsomePHES 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rosmond Thomas The 3 chains at the beginning counts as the 30 treble crochet. So you should have 16 pineapples.

    • @annharig3887
      @annharig3887 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm pretty sure that the chain 4 in the beginning counts as the first treble--then you add 29 more for a total of 30.

    Hi all, I used DMC #5 with crochet hook #2.00 it was very ruffelly by round 4. I then stopped and switched to #10 and hook 1.75 again by round 4 it is very ruffelly. Is this normal and eventually will lay flat ? Please advise.

      I have found that if a pattern, or design, is more open (many chain spaces) I simply alter the chains by not making as many (such as if patterns calls for ch5, I only ch3).

      You have to either block the doily , steam it or iron it on the wrong side. They do lie flat after that.

    I ended up pulling it all out, rewinding the thread back onto the ball and throwing it in the thread bin! I have never been so frustrated about anything in my life. This is a lovely doily and I would have loved to finish it. But you can't when the instructions don't go to the last three pineapples. Not trying this again! Four times is enough. Thanks anyway.
