    For anyone, like me, who just found this tutorial.
    If your project is curling, stop! You've skipped something.
    This was my first doily and I skipped some shells in the beginning, close to the base of the pineapples. I don't remember what row it was. I had to frog a bunch of rows to fix it. My advice is to take a screenshot of the finished doily so you have a reference to look at. It saved my project and my nerves.
    This is a great tutorial and the finished product is beautiful. Thank you Peter! The only bad thing about your crocheting is that you make me envious of your talent! 💖

    Thanks for the pattern. I used 4 ply white cotton and a 2.5mm hook. The end result is one metre wide and perfect on my black coffee table. I love it so much I am making another one the same to give to someone as a present. The most striking thing about it is the shape. Not round and boring!

    I believe row 4 -- is in need of correction -- you only put the double crochet shells in the ch 1 sp. and ch one between them, that will stop the curling up. I watched several different videos for the same pattern and found one that did it the way I just described. Love your work so much Peter -- just this beautiful doily had many of us perplexed. Thank You for all of your awesome tutorials, you have me addicted to them all.

    • @gemmabocus2711
      @gemmabocus2711 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I noticed the same thing. However as you continue working it will eventually flatten out. You can try using 2 chains in the shell instead of 3. Use 3 chains only in the shell where you need to make 11 trc

    I definitely was wrong when I said you were good at tutorials. Actually you suck you made me waste so much time because it does not work out when you do triple crochet in the US double crochet is what works best for this pattern. I found Maggie Sottero and she does it the right way and it’s looking really good now you wasted like an hour of my damn time because triple crochet does not work. It just makes it curl up.
