    It would be helpful if you were honest and upfront with your tutorials, by letting us know that half way through we have to pay to finish up the project, I wouldn't mind to pay for your beautiful tutorial, just feel that you should give us the options to not wasted our time.

    I just happened to see this particular pattern while I was looking at others and thought it looked familiar. So I looked at this one and realized I had done this particular pattern several years ago. I have the same Star book and several others. This pattern is popular and is also in a couple of "Book of Pineapples" I have. This is a very easy pattern to do.

I just don't understand in the language they speak. And I would like to crochet my own vintage rugs. If possible? Can you please do a video how to crochet a vintage rug. Please. I greatly appreciate it so much. Thank you.

    Roxanne Parker. I am posting this on my husbands acct. I have been following along on this also and was stuck in exactly the same spot. I am so thankful for my mother for teaching me to read others work. For some reason with the amount of loops done in corespondance with the amount of loops shown are not the same. If you look at the still pic from the 1st video (time of 2:06) and double count your loops and compare them to the still, you will see they are off. For the first round, I got it down okay. Try what I did. On the last loop where you put 2 dc and ch 9 do your first tr in the same loop. Then continue with the next tr in the next loop and ch 9. Your next two loops to use should be in the middle of the center motif. So 2 dc in next loop, ch 9, 2 dc in next loop ch 9, tr in next loop, ch 9 and do your first 2 dc in the same loop again like you did before and then continue from there. By making these adjustments, I was able to get a total of 15 loops from start to finish with the middle loops on the ends of the pine apples still not worked. Sorry for the long explanation but I was trying to be thorough.

    • @dougg7728
      @dougg7728 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nancy Strand Thank you dear for your comment :) I didn't made this doily into bedspread, and I do not think it would be possible taken into consideration that its an oval shaped doily unless you add other mini doilies to get a square shape pattern. I am finishing up the Romantic Pineapples Doily tutorial it should be up by the end of this month and will start with a tablecloth tutorial afterward.

      I've waisted enough time trying to make this doily. It's Beautiful and my favorite. I can crochet just about anything. But, I don't understand this pattern and I've tried several times now. Guess it's not meant for me to make. Thanks Jeego

      Roxanne Parker Please dont give up, I posted a few comments and hopefully they will help. It took me a couple of hours once I noticed something was off to figure out the best way to fix it. I really hope it helps.

      +doug g Thank You I printed your comments out. I will definetly try them. I don't have my parents or Grandparents anymore. I've taught myself how to crochet on youtube 2 years ago. I've printed everything out that I've found on the internet on how to read patterns. There's a lot I don't understand about patterns. It all depends on how there written out. I don't know anyone else around me who crochets. So I only have youtube and the internet to learn. Thank You =doug g for taking your time to help. Sincerely Roxanne
