OMG....I'm having a go at this. Taught myself to crochet in first lockdown 18 months ago. After making several afghans, thought I might have enough exp to try this. You are very clear, thankyou....just love it! Using cotton in (3) weight.
Hi Joanne, I've seen a lot of crochet turtorials but there are very few that are as clearly explained as you do. Anyone can crocheting with you as a teacher, I really mean that. I made this beautiful doily and it has become amazingly beautiful. And it was also so much fun to do that I am now going to start with the 2nd😃 The first one was color pink and now I'm going to turn it in very light mint green and there is also a glitter in the thread so I think that's going to be super nice😍 Well, thank you for your great work and I wish you all the best. Happy crocheting and Greets from the Netherlands/Holland byebye 👋
I have made several doilies , many beautiful gifts, i lo e thistutorial, its beautiful and easy to follow which makes me happy doing the work...HAPPY CROCHETING....THANK YOU SO MUCH....
My best friend did this project in white, regular-sized yarn. It turned out soooo beautiful! She's telling me she thinks I can do it, too, but I'm not sure. I started the first few rounds with the video and you do make it very easy to understand. I don't know how to do the special stitches like picot and shell stitch, but hopefully the video will show me what to do. Thank you for sharing this!
I’m so happy you checked out the video. I try to explain each new stitch. I hope you have fun with it. I bet your friends project was gorgeous! Thank you for watching and commenting. 💕
I have to say that I tried 2 different patterns tonight and could not catch on. Your instructions are very easy to understand. You have a very pleasant voice. Love, love, love your video. Thank you so much.
Joana I am interested to do all of your crochets I am following your videos your teacing is so easy you teach slowly and we can understand very easily thanks for sharing
What a gorgeous pattern, just finished this part. I did struggle with getting the 24 double crochet in the first round, so I did a round of 12 then increased in the next round up to the 24. Now onto part 2 😊
Always wanted to make one, finally got to do it following your tutorial. I love it, very easy to follow with your clear instructions. Muchas gracias :)
I'm sorry for my previous comments. I realized I made a couple of mistakes. This is absolutely beautiful . And i tried to crochet a day after I had an epliptic seizure. Which was the wrong choice for me to do.

Just finished my second one😃 and also this one has become gorgeous! I just a bit thicker yarn and hook, because I wanted a real BIG doily. And that worked because it has become HUGE! And I even don't have it blocked yet! I was looking for some more doily's at your channel, but I only saw some little ones unfortunately. Are you going to make more bigger doily s? That would be awesome, because you are definitely one of my favorites teachers. You are a master in making turtorials. Many people can learn from you how to do turtorials👍 Well, thanks again and I wish you all the best. Greets from the Netherlands😃
Hi Joanna can this pattern be done with worsted weight yarn medium 4 and a 4.25 hook and it not end up looking wonky.Thank you for a awesome tutorial with step by step instructions beginner's need that like myself
I've added another layer pineapples to mine before, instead of starting to close it up near the edges the one round that has 3 shells. Hard to explain without showing it
I have a iPad and it doesn’t have a description box, however I can see how great you are explaining every step. I checked out all 3 videos and you make it very easy to understand. I hope I’m not missing anything without a description box. Thank you so much for your beautiful work and thank you for your time. Wish me luck.
The iPad does have one. Look to the right under the video it’s a drop down arrow. But I don’t think you’re missing anything. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thanks a lot Jonna for u'r lovely & superb tutorial.I am a beginner but still I can understand everything very clearly, just one request to you that next time when u upload a video tutorial please make that according to the beginner's friendly ;that's it. If u comment upon my tutorial, I would be very much glad. Next time, just include the joining of the end of a round for example, the slip stitch at the end of the round. Thanks again.
I appreciate the suggestions and your kind words. Thank you! This pattern is definitely not “beginner friendly” so I am happy you got to make it. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Hi. I’ve checked on your site and you say this is 37inches in diameter using Aran/worsted weight. I have masses of DK cotton so it would come out smaller. Can I increase the patter in the early rows. Many thanks. Your videos are so easy, and also the written pattern is teaching me to be confident.
Unfortunately I cannot. The pattern is too complex for me to make a quick guess. And at this time I have too many other patterns going to sit down and work it out. A quick way to make it bigger is to increase hook and yarn size. Thank you for watching and commenting.
It's lovely Z Joanna. I'd like to know how big is hugh? Can u put the link to your blog please? Thanks for the tutorials. I saw on the pattern Rav page someone made a rug👏🏽👏🏽

This is coming along for me, but I wish you showed how you ended rounds as well as beginning them. How do you get a slip stitch in the middle of a shell after making the shell?? Lots of rounds I had to watch several times and try to make mine look like yours instead of just doing the instructions. I wish I could've made it smaller too. I'm halfway through the second video and it's already almost 2' wide
Next time see at the end of turtorial how big the project will be? Then you will not be faced with surprises. The ending of the rows is very easy to follow, maby you are beginner?

The only way to make this bigger without dealing with re writing the pattern is to use a bulky yarn and hook. Thank you for watching and commenting.
