    Tim,
    I looked at other videos on how to remove the loader on the 1025r and none of them correctly identified the need to make sure the latches drop back to lock the loader and take pressure off the hydraulic cylinders. Yours is correct.

    It's nice when you have cement floor. My barn is all dirt so I do it the regular way. Even with that I still wipe the hydro. ends coming apart as I don't want dirt getting into/on them. I like the way you are storing everything. Makes for a neat look and still keeps an open space to work in. You're a lucky man. Thanks for the video.

    Nice approach to storing the loader. I forgot about raising the loader all the way up, that was a good reminder. Thanks for sharing.

    Tim,
    The Menard snowmobile dolly on the parking stand worked great. I sat the bucket on the pallet as usual and lowered the parking stand on one of the dollys. It worked perfectly. Next year the bucket is going to sit on the remaining two dollys so I can roll the FEL around on the concrete. Thanks again.

    Tim that is an awesome idea for removing your loader and having the ability to move it round with out hooking it back up. I'd like to do that for my tractor. I just have mixed feelings about taking it off nice to extra room to manoeuvre with the tractor with the bucket off but than again when using ground engaging equipment it nice to have the extra weight with the bucket on.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Overall, I would recommend that not be nervous about taking the loader off. It is easy to take off and put back on. I have heard of folks being reluctant to remove it. This just doesn't make sense. For instance if you are cultivating, you can see much better with the loader removed.

    Tim, Try drilling two lines of 3 or 4 holes, file out the two channels and use something like a small snap connector belt (like a dog collar) and connect the wheels to the rear bracket before you lower it. This will eliminate having to keep adjusting the wheels to be centered.

    Noticed the chrome exhaust tip you put on the pipe. Did you do a video when you did that? I have a front mount snowblower & the heat from the exhaust causes the left side of the blower to ice up. That looks like a good fix for that problem.

    Tim, the last two times I removed my FEL the stand collapsed within a few days. Not sure what went wrong, but I am looking for advice on how to reconnect the hydraulics because now the arms are so low they prevent getting close enough to connect hoses. Any suggestions?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the future, make sure you raise your loader until the latches automatically snap shut. Then, the cylinders won’t leak down.
      Extension hoses with 1/4” iso A 5675 connectors would do the job for you. DiscountHydraulicHose.com can make ‘em. Use code ttwt!

    Great video Tim. I'm a big fan of having everything on wheels! Dollies are my friend.
    I'm wondering if you could add a couple of rare earth magnets to that kickstand dollie so you didn't have to keep going back and forth to make sure it's in position. It would stick right to the bar (in that groove) and would basically self adjust as it met the floor.
    Just a thought and yes, I AM that lazy - lol.

    I like your pallet storage shelves, where did you find them?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Bruce Smith Thanks for watching and commenting.
      I intended to make a video specifically about my shelving, but I haven't got around to it.
      I bought them used from a local pallet racking reseller (Material Handling Solutions, materialhs.com/). They have all shapes and sizes. I measured my space (22'9"). They told me that the uprights took 3" of horizontal space. So, I asked for 10' and 12' beams.
      As you can probably see, it is a perfect sized for the space (well, it was really 1/4 or so too wide...I 'forced it' to fit.
      Anyway, the point is, there are companies which buy used pallet racking, and resell it. They keep inventories of all shapes and sizes.
      That is the long answer. The short answer is "search craigslist for 'pallet racking'".

    That's so awesome and helpful. I'm an Army Vet amputee, and that'd make things so much easier for me.
    I see that you have your backhoe on something in the corner. What do you have it sitting on? Mine always bottoms out, and I'd like to keep it off of my concrete barn door.
    Also. How did you get the mowing deck, up on the pallet?? It's hard and heavy for me to lift with only one leg. Thanks Tim.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Nrfa bxpanded makes a nice dolly for the backhoe...I don't have it...but folks love it. I use a couple of furniture dollies. They are a pain...I don't recommend for you.
      Yea, good point on the mowing deck. What I do is to raise it up one corner at a time, and lock the wheel down so that it can roll. Then I can at least roll one end of it while I tug it up onto the pallet. I SHOULD make a pallet with a ramp, I guess!

    Tim, I really like the idea of the dollies that you put under the loader. Do they in any way impair the reattaching of the loader because they are higher off the ground?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on how you have the hoses ran, it can make the hoses seem almost too short to re-attach. But that is all. I am still able to attach.

    Looks good, check around for an iMatch 3-Pt mounting plate, they are not real expensive, think Titan makes one. Are you going to do any type of concrete stain or paint to seal the floors?

    • @TallTexasGMan
      @TallTexasGMan 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tim Marks
      Floor: I would like to think that painting the floor with a good epoxy type paint. Such as this Behr paint available through the Home Depot. www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-1-gal-902-Slate-Gray-1-Part-Epoxy-Concrete-and-Garage-Floor-Paint-90201/100113293 This will help you keep the oils and acids from leaching into the floor and staining the concrete. There are numerous options including stains. You could make it look like a wood floor if you wanted to. Personally, I would do a big John Deere Logo in the middle of the floor. I am sure Katriel has lot's of artistic ability. :)
      iMatch: I've lost my link. I will dig around and see what I can find. Shoot me a PM on GTT.

    Great video for this first time operator, who does not have extra room in my garage. Does this approach change anything of significance when you reattach the loader to the tractor? Also, I’ve read that some people use a furniture dolly under the bucket or front boom of the loader... have you seen or tried this approach and do you have an opinion on this approach. TY

    I’m really torn between the Deere and the kubota BX. I’ll be using it for pretty much everything. I think the auto connect deck will be worth it for when it’s time to go do loader work. On the 120r easy park system. I wish they’d add a piece of rubber coating over that bar. I can see it getting all marred up on my shop floor when it skids a little taking it off an off. Maybe I could tape a piece of foam like used on a AC unit line to keep it from scuffing that bar and causing a rust point

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tractor Time with Tim I seen your video of the new Jd quick connect hydraulic coupler. Before Deere had that option they were located at your right foot. Now with the connects in the new spot I see they moved them up higher. Disappointed to see that it is not standard connection for the loader though. It should be for what they cost.

  • @FloridaDeere
    @FloridaDeere 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    To store mine, i just shove them into any random pallet and boom, not taking any other storage up and when I need them they are right there tucked away where I put them. I'm a simple guy.

  • @nyycanseco33
    @nyycanseco33 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Love your videos and often follow your same ideas and techniques with my 1023e, just curious where you found that exhaust tip and how you connected it. I have had my tractor for approximately 2 years now and the exhaust has made my loader stand dirty, I want to add a tip like yours to deflect the exhaust.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nicholas Beardslee I bought it on ebay. I used a 1 1/2 inch...but it was a bit too big. At that time, I didn't see any 1 1/4 inch. Not sure if it would have fit anyway. Search "1 1/2 exhaust turn down" and "1 1/2 exhuast clamp".
      Easy enough.
      Honestly, I'm not that thrilled with mine. It makes the tractor seem louder due to the exhaust pointing outward. It still gets soot on the loader...but only when removing the loader.
      One more thing, when the front axle flexes upward far enough, it hits the exhaust turn-down.
      I'm actually thinking about taking mine off.

      +Tractor Time with Tim Thank you for your quick reply, I will look those up on eBay and give it a shot. The loudness probably won't bother me as I usually have an iPod and earbuds in my ear when I'm mowing or occasionally use my racing radio and headset setup so I can linen to music and monitor a radio frequency for people to get ahold of me if I'm way out in the fields. I might have to modify it to prevent it from touching like you mentioned. Again thank you so much for your reply and take care.

I have an aftermarket third function that ran the grapple just fine until it malfunctioned. JD fixed it by re-plumbing it. I have now lost control of the opening and closing of the grapple while raising or lowering boom or curling the bucket. I could do this before but now only one thing at a time. Any ideas? I have the 2025r which is basically the same tractor that you have. Any advice will be appreciated.

    How do you like your artillian forks? what do you think makes them superior to cheaper sets on the market? I like your storage setup, very handy. Your videos encouraged me to buy a 1025r TLB, and I couldn't be happier. But I would really like a set of forks.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Grant Deisig Deere should provide me a commission!
      The biggest advantage of the Artillian Forks is their light weight which allows larger payload capacity.
      The second advantage (which unfortunately I have not taken advantage of yet) is the ability to attach several other attachments: Quick Attach adapter for 54 blade; 3 pt QH adapter, 2 inch receiver; and the biggest/best ... the grapple. Each of these attach directly to the fork frame.
      Back to the light-weight...I find the 1025R to be 'limited' on lifting power. I have had at least 6-8 instances where I have been right on the edge of lift capacity. Several times I have only been able to lift the pallet a foot or two off the ground. Even 25 lbs more 'dead weight' in the forks would have made it impossible to move the load.
      I hope that helps.

    • @gdeisig
      @gdeisig 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tractor Time with Tim So what would you consider the "edge" of the 1025r's lifting power? I don't really forsee myself moving anything heavier than 600 lbs. 4 wheelers, snowmobiles etc....

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** With the forks, just over 1000 lbs. There is a way to adjust/increase the hydraulic pressure which I have done. I can now lift 1200 lbs 1-2 feet off the ground.
      At that point, the rest of the tractor's abilities have been reached. For instance, I need more ballast to handle 1200 lbs effectively.

    • @gdeisig
      @gdeisig 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tractor Time with Tim Ok thanks for the heads up, should work great for what I plan on using it for. By any chance, have you ever found the max weight on the rear 3 points lifting ability?
