I don't want to be too annoying, it's just that this is one of my top favourite game and I have spent a lot of time with it, so apologies upfront.
As I understand it- the whole game is a type of cognitohazard, once you know about the game and Lila, you can't forget it completely. The player is the prince, the attention of the player is what makes the game mean anything, same with how a book is just some random characters done in ink on paper, but the reader reading the book, it makes sense, the language, the characters, the plot all of a suddent mean something through the eyes of the reader.
This ties up to the projector that is receiving the image in the forest, same as the player- we play the game and receive it's pixes, give them meaning to complete a story.
Once you start the game, you have no idea of all this philosophical stuff and as you play, you learn all these somewhat contradicting stuff and get deeper and deeper into the philosophical aspect and after you stop the game and stop thinking of the game, it doesn't get destroyed or anything, it's still there and waiting for the next player/prince to give attention to it, like the comparison with the wind-powered walking machine: with no wind the machine is still there, but does nothing.
Michael is just an a-hole basically. His brother Malcolm was murdered by the radical group that uses the Dada dog, and through that and Twitter, Michael met Tanya.
A lot of the game has themes of creation/creator and mirror images.
Ryibkin and Lawrence through they can create something, however as Lila said, humans don't create anything, they are not gods. Humans can make space for something to enter.
Lile in the paper, Ryubkin speculates, what if humans are not the reason for consiosness, but humans are hosts for it and consioness is something else that just occupied the human body.
And here comes the Dada dog, the blury girl image ( T daughter or L) etc.
The Dada dog is a creation that became bigger that it's creator and influenced the real world in unpredictable ways, leading to a radical group using it, the creator dying etc. It's an example for Ryibkin to use, how something manmade can become so much more. It's implied that something like a noosphere dweller occupied the Dada dog meme (similar on how LIla occupies William). Basically when we think of a meme, it's just a funny picture on the internet, not a hate symbol of radical polical groups.
(the noosphere is a philosophical concept about a place of the human mind, like how you have other spheres, atmosphere etc. In the game the noosphere is a place, created by the mind occupied by entities like Lila, or at least that is what Ryibkin says)
T is the T-gotchi girl from anohter of Garage Heathen's games, where the player takes care of a girl like a Tamagotchi, but no matter what you do, she kinda always dies. And besides being a cool easier egg it also puts in the idea of tying Tanya and Lila together.
"T daughter of L=Tanya daughter of Lila"
The whole Ryibkin and Lawrence cult is basically- they want to play god and create something, but they don't understand humans are not real creators. So with the cult and their theories, they made space for something like Lila to step in and do whatever she likes.
The paper uses the Dada dog and other examples of what they are trying to achive- create something + some philoosophical stuff.
The stranger is a part of William, maybe a more evil part of him. Lila speculates that everyone has a Stranger in them and that the Stranger is just another form of William. There is also a thing that the Stranger wears no mask (from the Wheeliam questions). So I interpret that as- the Stransger is a personalitity that each human has if they remove all their masks, social norms, laws, and other stuff we do daily to follow the norms.
The Empress is a mother and is in the boiler room, where Will's mother died
The mirror of mothers is that William's mother is very overbearing, even abusive.
Lila's mother is implied to be Lilith, the first wife of Adam (according to legends). And the Empress is the one that can cease Lila.
Lila also speculates she is Lilith. But that is not entirely true. Maybe Lila is a projection of Lilith, an avatar of Lilith. Similar to how Lila tries to mess up Will, by telling him we only perceive others as projections of how we interpret them.
Tanya also has a dream similar to the Lilith painting you see in Will's appartment.
The Lilith painting is very interesting, because initially the painting had another face. The painter used a model for it, however after some drama, he changed the painting's face to match his new muse. So the Lilith painting we have now in the real world, she is with her new face. (Lady Lilith by Dante Gabriel Rossetti)
Her new face looks a bit like her old face, similar to how Tanya and Lila look alike, but not exactly.
Lila looks like Tanya, a bit by accident. The Lawrence cult evoked Lilith, by using the Lilith poem ( first gold), by making her a beatriful woman etc.
I personally think and by bringing Will into this, who must have seen Tanya around the school for sure even if he didn't notice, before they made him enforce Lila.
And Tanya having an interest in the poem for Lilith, having the dream of being Lilith sitting in the field of flowers etc. ( the poem is on Tanya's twitter- Body's Beauty by Dante Gabriel Rossetti)
The man with 6 arms is most likely the wheel, which sounds reel and Will. And is the wheel we can pick up to put into the projector to see Will's image.
Snake eyes is the daemon tool/developer/emperor of the game.
Strupnev is just a tool, like the cult that Lila used.
The goal of the game and Lila is to keep your attention for as long as possible. You can dig in for hours about small stuff, small clues and hints and the game will always be almost explained.
Like how Lila deletes the messages between Tanya and Martha before we fully read them, then whispers something to Detective Yu which we might never hear.
And Detective Yu ( You) is obessed with finding who Lila is, knows a lot more than the other characters, very much like a mirror to the player.
Those are my interpretation, but overall the game has clues and bits to support various theories partially.
I for sure have missed something based on what you said at the end ( and made some typos), but well yeah, thanks for reading!

Thanks for the info! You really went in depth with this, expanding and interpreting things that I would never even guess. You also clarified alot of things that I didn't understand. Who's Lila is probably one of the games that will stick with me for a long time on how well the game is structured despite how non-linear it is. Definitely, one of the top games I have ever played.
