Thank you for the video. I work for Toyota and customer came and traded his 97 Tacoma with 99000 miles original owner. Truck is in a mint condition I notice two small rust holes. Should I spray with WD40? What kind of products do you recommend so I can treat myself? Thanks

I would investigate integrity of the frame, you can check it by tapping with a ball peen hammer, if it is good, I would spray Fluid Film inside thru holes and outside. If you find rust is worse, you can plate the frame or buy frame caps and have them welded in.

What areas that are rusted bad would warrant you to park the vehicle because it is structurally unsafe to drive?
Which are the biggest areas of concern that would compromise structural integrity?
Where its boxed in around the upper CATs and that body mount u showed or if there's rust around leaf spring mounting points ?

If the boxed area near cats has holes inboard and outboard or in a long line at bottom of frame. Or suspension mounting points or when you get a hole larger than 2" at the rear channel at front leaf spring area. I'd get to patching frame up in short order

I use wool wax for frame instead of FF. Sticks better.

@Zell Yeah I use Woolwax on my truck frame. Ff and other lighter stuff in doors and panels.

@@ureasmith3049 I do similar but Cosmoline instead of woolwax at frame. Will test Woolwax.
