      Also, bent over barbell rows would be great.

    What a good rhyme. Arms are long, triceps are flexed, protecting the armpits for tight lats.

    Just wanted to say thanks for both the squat and dead lift vids. I found out where I was weak and a few tweaks to my form.
    For squat it's was drive elbows back for a tighter back and the decent idea of speeding up right before the whole. Only implemented this once and the weight felt easier. My SQUAT still sucks, work in progress, definitely going to be increase quad work to get stronger
    For deadlift, I took your advice on stance, set up, and today add 20lbs .
    Just wanted to thank you guys

    You're the best man. Starting strength encouraged me to lift , but you really are the one who tought me how. Wonderful elaborative explanation, and on the point cues for specific hinders we face in reality trying to get the technique right. Thank you so much. God bless you.

    Oh my gosh, these videos are so helpful in getting set right !! I've various little things I knew I needed cleaned up, or didn't know how to do well, such as taking the big breath, and learning how to address them is so helpful. Marisa is perfect at showing the setups and lifts too. Keep these coming!!

    This video is great just applied it and did much better and felt much better in my lifts. I think the best one for me was to ensure even foot pressure, I noticed that when I got into position at the bottom I tended to rock back on my heels a bit which might be why it was always harder getting it off the floor but fine at lockout. Great videos!

    Thanks again for another clear, concise video. I got that "Hover" of the bar with a little more than 85% on the bar a fee days ago. It. Was. Awesome!

    @Chad, when I deadlift with a mixed grip (right hand under, left over), I always use way more power in my lower back right side and on the way down.. I can't seem to fix this,, any idea?

    Chad, this video does not show up in your TH-cam channel timeline. It can be only found when clicking the pillar playlist. That's why it gets so little views and likes.

    My weak spot is getting it off the ground. If I can get it off the ground, I have no problem getting it to lock out. Any advice?
    Also, what's your thoughts on rouge bar vs standard dead lift bar?
    Thanks!

    • @bmstylee
      @bmstylee 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Build leg strength. When starting think of leg pressing the floor away. As far as bars. Unless you compete in a federation that uses a deadlift bar a standard power bar is the way to go. I use a 20kg Ohio Power Bar.

    Why nike don't have 4mm drop lightweight shoes?

    • @bmstylee
      @bmstylee 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nike makes junk shoes in general. Stupidity overpriced. Guess you gotta charge dumb prices to consumers to pay overpaid athletes to wear your crap. That said their Romealos 2 were great. Very popular with weightlifters and powerlifters. I have thousands of squats, cleans, snatches and OHP reps through them. The Romealos 3 was crap. For deadlifting I prefer the Otomix Stingray. High top and super thin. Not sure how well they will do with sumo technique. I pull conventional.
