    Charlotte looking good. I’m digging the silver over black for the bare steel paint job. Great job Bawb. Your comprehensive Rat Rod making skills are perty impressive. Nice to be able to learn from your pops and 11 years older brother. I learned exactly bupkis about fixin’ cars from my pops so gotta learn myself. But I watch all your videos and learning lots. Thanks for your congenial and entertaining videos. You remind me of Uncle Jesse from the Dukes of Hazard! Yes sirrrrey

    Yes. Digging the 454. Stainless steel flanges from China rusting... as expected. Just resurface the bad boys as well as the valve covers. No worries. Looking forward to hopefully some touch up/maintenance videos. I worked at a pool fence manufacturer and they would get customers wanting galvanized fences so we’d take them steel fence panels and dunk em in a galvanizing vat. It added about 10-15 years of rust free enjoyment of the fence.

    I love the way this thing turned out. I like those spokes, but if you have to change them Id go with Torque T's. You've finished 2 rods now in the time that I've finished none....🤔 Dang it BOB. Actually I did just get my 53 chevy on the road, I think Ill burn the rear tires off to celebrate. Thanks for the update BOB!

    This is one of my favorite builds that you have done. Then the next one is your yellow rat rod. How many do you have? Do you sell them? You need to do a video of all your rat rod builds putting them all together going from one to the next explaining about the builds and explaining about the difficulties that you had on each one.

    If you put smaller wheels that match the back, it will be more symmetrical, give it a slight rake. The front wheels are cool, but look out of place because they are too big. Sometimes you have to spend the money to get it right. Bob I got to say, when I first watched one of your videos, I figured you didn't know a whole lot. Needless to say, you proved me wrong, in fact, I believe you can build a car more economically than anybody I have seen, with maybe the exception of Bob Hamilton at hot rod 101. Y'all are a lot alike in your approach to car building.

  • @robertlabaw2037

    They're lookin' great Bob! I'm kind of torn between liking the existing wire wheels or changing over to the "Gasser" style spoke wheels - but I also think a matching set of the Torq-Thrust wheels would be a crowd pleaser. I really like the idea of the block-off plates, baffles, and turn-outs. The baffles will take the sharp rasp out of the exhaust note (so you will not go totally deaf), and without the turn-outs, you would probably start to bake the paint off the door on anything other than a short trip or at the very least eventually get a carbon coating on the bodywork.

    And you cannot go wrong with '59 Caddy taillights! I'm currently in the process of grafting four of them on my Triumph Streetfighter!

    Hi Bob put the Gasser on it the thick spoke rims it a pretty they don't make them wider for the rear as i like those rims you can only get them for the front in 15 x 6 i believe there the wides you can get , wish they made them in 15 x 10 too but they don't .

  • @kentuckycowboy2
    @kentuckycowboy2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looking good Bob. I really like those Torque Thrust wheels on the rear so my vote would be for a matching set on the front in the size of your choice.
    Ahh ladies, not knowing where it's real till you get in there and check it out then Charlot's big ole headlights that reminds me of this little girl back in 6 and 7th grade a lifetime ago man she had the biggest head lights I ever saw those two years then I ran into her out around town and nothing notta she was flat as a pancake man what a let down. I think that was when I first realized the facts of your statement.

  • @gabrialshort6756

    Bob gave here. I think I would go with the gas or style like solid Centerline 4 inch wide 15 inch wheels they seem to always go great with no matter what style back wheels you use they're just a virtual versatile wheel yeah I don't know but whatever you choose I'm sure it will be just great Keep On Keepin On

  • @chickenmanedbrown8054

    I think if something cost $80 I would triple it and put that into it. Cuz you got so much fun detail into it that's your baby. I think the fenders on the rear tires would look really cool if was made into a spider web form.. for the horn I would find the biggest cow horn or steer horn. Cut the tip off and mount the horn on it it would definitely echo.

Might be worth a look to take the other old spoke off the front and put it on the same side as the other to see what them old spokes all around would look like, that would look amazing i bet.
