I assembled one for a friend. I was very impressed with the quality of the kit. We added air conditioning, power windows, hard top, windshield wipers, remote start with alarm, remote entry ( no handles ), touch screen radio, cd, blue tooth, navigation with a back up camera, hidden LED backup lights, Rockford Fosgate amp, subs and high end speakers. Turned out so nice that l forget sometimes that l assembled it. Maybe someday I can assemble one for myself. Owner went with a 351 dressed up inside and out, TCI trans and 8.8 rear end. It will move.

I use a rattle can on my model t all the time...with a little bit of work, you can not tell where I used it...I do not sweat rock chips or scratches...

I'd find a 85 mustang donor with a carbureted roller top 302 and a 5 speed manual, light weight 225 hp stock and 300-6 with overdrive gas mileage until you stomp on it.
In case I was the last to know, open wheels are NOT legal in America. You MUST have fenders of a sort that prevents rocks and other debris from being thrown by the tire tread. FMCSR part 387. Thanks, JD
@Abe Adams you’re wrong. The Plymouth Prowler does have fenders in the rear and front of the vehicle. They may be small but they are there. Any vehicle without fenders is considered illegal to be driven on public roads. Although you may own one without fenders and have it in your personal collection.
A lot of people complaining about using 3 extra wrenches to build it. Finish work is up to you if you want to rattle can or put it in a booth..hell make it a rat rod.Its complete enough for me to do in my garage. Supercharged LS engine would be nice, reliable and fast as hell!
This looks like something I need to start saving money for, it'll give me something to shoot for as well as be able to say I built my own car, you wouldn't even need a big motor for a car that size and weight

4 years latter- A real benefit of these kits is the possibility of a very cheap and practical A to B vehicles by going the low hp route, AKA some of the light vehicles out of the UK using motor cycle engines. Being built for larger engines may give them a large safety buffer over the lighter vehicles when smaller engines are fitted.

When I was about 16 years old, I witnessed the aftermath of a '33 kit going into a building (and he didn't use the door). Cruising down the blvd. something in his steering let go, threw him in a hard right, right through the front of a body shop (irony). If the driver didn't, at the last second, lie down in the bench seat, he would have been decapitated for sure.

Man I am just drooling to see a hopped up straight six and a manual in that. (Intake stacks on one side, pipes on the other side). A Jeep 4liter or old Dodge Slant... wait. Both of those have exhaust and intake same side. Well... still way cooler than a generic small block v8.

If the caliper paint is heat resistant then it’s going to block the heat from naturally moving from the interior of the caliper to the exterior and to the atmosphere....it would be like a thermal block.
Ever Price a Factory 5 kit car ? You need about $30 ,000 just to get started . I would use a Lincoln mark Viii For the Donor car but still it would cost around $25,000. for that much money you could just buy a used HO mustang or dodge hellcat . 345 HP for a $10,000 Motor is no bargain . You have 20 Guys and a $200, 000 dollar shop and I could slam one out too !
In terms of bang for your buck, its hard to beat an LS crate motor, especially ones built by third parties - for roughly that same 10, you can buy a 625hp, 427 ls motor from Summit.
You guys are missing the point. and/or you are not paying attention. How in the world are you getting 50k out of a kit that is only 20k??? Unless you are figuring on sinking 30k into run and drive components??? That is totally overkill and unnecessary! And who and why would you do that with this kit??? If you want all that engine and drivetrain, surely you would put that into something more then a replica kit car.....and this ad is for rattle can paint coating for a budget paint job .... 50k on parts and then spray can paint job!? Ridiculous, you are missing the point .... This whole thing is geared toward the novice extremely budget mind builder, someone who wants the experience of building and being able to complete something nice, that they can be proud of. Yeah if you are afraid of the "hard work" don't knock it just because you don't get it and wouldn't even attempt it. And Hell, under Bidenomics you can't buy ANY new car off the lot for less then 25k anyway. So I really don't get all the negative comments

I think with an in depth how to step by step video would encourage more novice builders.
It's hard to convince someone to use a rattle can on a car they spend $30k on.
I decent paint gun is not expensive, I think it has to do with Duplicolor being a sponsor.

Kit comes with a roll bar but people leave it off. It bolts in or could be welded to the frame.

I once saw a guy change an automatic transmission with only one tool and it wasn't a drill, pop riveter, or a rattle can, it was a pair of Visegrips.

it would keep the fluid from boiling. the heat gets transferred out by the rotor.

Mass air sensor is mounted upside down, must be a cheaper one and had to clock it to get decent idle and running characteristics
