I have the X-Max 3, really nice printer, with good features, decent build volume, most issues i had were becasue of me :)) and you can print a lot of 'fancy" filaments, nylons, abs, CF/GF, etc If you stick an ABS print in an oven at around 90C you can anneal it, make it stronger, look up annealing for the type of filament you're using
Warhammer and Japan, the dream. My wife and I had our first anniversary holiday to Japan last year and have been so sad since coming home. Would love to see a vlog or a small video about your life in Japan, how you came there etc. Hope is to one day move but it's a big challenge. Keep up the good work! The Emperor Protects
This is awesome!! next time you do a base, try "ironing" it will go over the top again and sorta melt the plastic down a bit. Great work and now I wanna print one!
Hey Trip! Amazing job!! Wow the prints came out incredible! Give your self a Purity seal as that came out so nicely! I love the weathering you did and the display stand was very professionally finished! Well done! Would you try and do a Plasma pistol next? Possibly with a clear filament so you could add LEDs to make the plasma barrel glow?
@@thehammerofwrath Not really but I sanded the thing within an inch of its life before assembly. I do a lot of cosplay stuff so I don't worry about the parts fitting right off the printer bed.
Another cool project, thanks for sharing it! Thanks also for sharing some of the small details of life in Japan. I can really relate, I've noticed similar kinds of small changes whilst living abroad.
@@thehammerofwrath I craft with epoxy resin and after getting on my skin a few times im now highly allergic to it, I end up with blisters and dry itchy cracked skin that takes weeks to heal, please use nitrile gloves, keep exposed skin covered and wear a respirator that filters organic vapours

That's a brilliant idea! I'll have to see if I can find a filament that'll work.
I have built this one a few times and it is always a hit.
Did you have a problem with the upper cover sliding properly all the way onto the body?

Very cool. Are you thinking of sharing the stand model? I’d like to print one too
Oh, I should put that up on my cults page!
