Luke Blacwkell Player safety is first and foremost so I take it you're either young, inexperienced or both. It's also obvious that you can't distinguish reckless from regular tackling. Who the heck gave your certification?
Branden V of course safety is first and I’m not going nor Inexperienced. Just pointing out that more than a few of these are either not fouls or are exaggerated by the players to get a foul called where one isn’t necessarily present. For example at 1:11 and 2:40 for instance...just because a players falls over doesn’t make it a foul. Both of these should have play stopped to see if the player is ok and uninsured but neither are fouls. So I don’t understand how you think I’m an inexperienced official when I’m pointing out that it’s sad people think that these are all fouls when it is clear that they are not all fouls. Not saying there are no fouls here, there clearly are, just that it’s not entirely made up of fouls
@@lukeblacwkell2501 I completely agree - in a few of these clips, there was also a clear advantage that should have been given to the attacking team. You wouldn't get given a foul in over here in the UK for some of them.
1:49 people need to under stand yea he got the ball, yes he didn't touch the player, yes his studs were sorta down but all of that is illrelevant when both of your feet leve the ground for a tackle he was lucky it was just a yellow and if the other kid was running faster and he miss timed that tackle he could of broke his leg
If you miss time a tackle be it leaving the floor or not you can break someone’s leg but he timed it right won the ball and didn’t get the man😂 so talking about Mis timing a tackle is irrelevant as in this case his timing was perfect
He's gone in two footed studs showing at a high speed & although he won the ball it's the follow through to the player that has injured him. Some people just don't understand to rules of football (not soccer). Completely agree with you
Thank you - great video! So many challenges coming so fast I had to slow it down to follow. A lot of difficult decisions for the referees to make between foul or fair and careless or YC.
@@simenandersen6715 bollocks. You need your eyes tested. He clearly went for the ball and got the ball only. I don’t know what u on but that’s a fantastic tackle
Whether you play the ball is irrelevant for determination of reckless (yellow) and excessive force (red). Had he not gotten the ball. That would have broken a leg. It is a red card. He started the tackle from 7 yards away. Studs up. Mid air with excessive force. Thank God he got the ball because if didn't, you're looking at a broken leg.

Ex-referee here, my view on each incident. Do you agree or disagree with me? :) 00:05 -Great tackle, both players played the ball. 00:14 -Foul, yellow card. Player in white does not get near the ball. Goes in with studs showing, requiring a yellow for dangerous play. 00:25 -Foul, yellow card. This is really difficult to see, but it doesn't look like he gets close to the ball. Feet are high and he catches the man, so dangerous play. The fouler goes down dramatically. A common "trick" when someone knows they've done something bad, looking for sympathy. Ref plays a great advantage here, but I'd like to think he goes back to issue the yellow at the next break of play. 00:30 -Close one - but I'd wave it off and give corner kick. Attacker and defender are only watching the ball. Attacker puts head down, defender notices him late and tries to pull out of his motion and avoid causing an injury. Putting your head down, in a crowded area like this, is a slightly dangerous thing for you to do. The defender does hit the ball with his hand, but I'd say that he was genuinely trying to avoid injuring the attacker and I would not penalise for this. 00:35 -Play advantage! Attacker could go down and the result would have been a free kick and the defender sent off for a professional foul. Though he did not go down, an offense has taken place. So, yellow card to the defender after the goal is scored. No red, as a professional foul is for "deliberately denying a goal scoring opportunity". He has only attempted to do so. 00:43 -Foul, play advantage. Obvious foul, don't believe it deserves a card. As the attackers kept the ball, I'd have played a few seconds of advantage, the referee blew too quickly for my liking. 00:47 -Foul against the dark. Legs got tangled, the responsibility is on the player behind in this case. No further punishment. 00:50 -Foul against light blue. He did go for the ball, feet up but no danger involved. No advantage worth playing, I'd have a quiet word with the offender to "be careful", but no further punishment. 00:56 -Accidental collision. Both went for the ball. No foul, no punishment. Having watched this multiple times, on slow motion, I'm feeling slightly against the defender. 01:01 -Foul against Blue. He's lost his footing, and the player in white has made a legal movement across him. The blue player falls, and drags down the player in white with him. Foul, no further punishment. 01:05 -Foul against blue. I played defense, so I know many tricks to fool referees involving hand and arm placement in your opponent's back. So, I know exactly what things to look for in games :) This is a blatant push in the back. Just a foul. 01:11 -No foul. That's an absolutely textbook tackle. Fantastic stuff! 01:15 -Foul. Player in white isn't watching where he's going, just runs into the player and makes no effort to get the ball. I wouldn't have given anything, except the white team gain possession. 01:21 -Foul against black. Doesn't get the ball, follows through on the late tackle. Dependant on how the game had went, I'd consider a yellow card - but that might be harsh. 01:24 -Foul against dark shirt. Holding, tripping - easy call. No further punishment. 01:27 -Foul. Fair do's for the white player for trying to stay on his feet. Fouled twice in the space of a second! No further action on either. 01:32 -Foul against dark shirt. You can see that he slips, but it's still a foul. No further action. 01:36 -Foul, yellow card against white shirt. Made zero effort to go for the ball, ran straight into the blue player's back in a position that could cause damage at an angle that the blue player could not see him to brace himself.. Definitely cowardly, dangerous play. 01:40 -Foul against white player. He's entitled to challenge for the ball in the air, but he's too late going for it and not looking at the ball. I'd speak to the white player and warn him against risky play like this. As a head collision occured, I would probably not have played advantage - I would have liked to check both players, so would have stopped the game immediately. 01:42 -Foul. As above, I would have stopped the game already - but this is a definite foul against white. Defender gets nowhere near the ball. He's just lucky that he had a defender beside him, or this would have been a professional foul. 01:48 -No foul. Wow! Tough tackle to make! Timing must be absolutely perfect - and that's what this guy did! I'm actually shocked that a yellow card was issued. 01:57 -Foul, yellow card. Amazing nutmeg by the attacker, defender was travelling at speed and didn't even attempt to play the ball - just ran into the man. Easy yellow card. 02:04 -Foul, twice. I see this kind of tackle a lot. To my shame, an old manager taught us defenders "The ball might get past you, and the man might get past you - but make sure they don't go by together!". It's hard to justify a yellow card here. 02:09 -Foul, straight red card. Easily the worst, most dangerous, tackle I've seen thus far. Everything is wrong about this one. I cannot believe he only got a "talking to" and not a red. 02:18 -Foul, yellow card. Initially, I thought straight red. But I believe he tried to play the ball, the red shirt player was just too fast for him, and his foot was that high as a follow through. While not malicious, it's still dangerous though, so yellow card. 02:27 -Foul, red card. That's a clumsy, late, studs up, knee high, connecting tackle. In fact, that's a potential career ending tackle right there. Absolutely no doubt in my mind when I first saw it, watching it again in slow-mo just reaffirms my decision. 02:31 -Foul. Defender knows player has beat him, so applies the "ball and man can't go by together" mantra. 02:35 -No foul. Nothing wrong here, play on. 02:38 -No foul. Looked a bit sore, but I can assure you that defenders are generally not accurate enough when hitting the ball like that to be able to aim for your face.... 02:41 -No foul. Textbook tackle from a right back. 02:48 -Foul against white. Blue player attempted to, and did, play the ball. White player did not. He simply braced himself for a shoulder charge. In my opinion, it was not a legal shoulder charge because (a) he went low, so it wasn't shoulder to shoulder and (b) he tried to use his back to do so, not his shoulder. During the maneuver, the white player never tried to control the ball - just intercept his opponent. So, foul against white. In a real game without replay - this would have been very hard to call. It even seems dangerous, the blue player could not have reasonably expected the white player to do this, hence how he finished the tackle almost breaking his neck. So, possibly even a yellow card too. 02:55 -No foul. Blue player tripped over the ball. Possible that something happened beforehand, that we didn't see, that made him go off balance for the run. From what we can see, no foul here. 03:03 -Foul, yellow card. No attempt to play the ball, no attempt to avoid the collision, White shoulder into dark shirt player's back. Not enough for a red, but a yellow card every time. 03:07 -Undecided. From our viewpoint, I can't tell if the dark shirt player got the ball or not (he appears to stand on it, stopping it's forward motion). If he did, then tackle is fair. If not, then a foul. The play should never have been allowed to continue to this point anyway. 03:12 -Foul, yellow card. No attempt to play the ball, only wanted to play the man, turned away from the tackle to lessen the impact on himself (did not try to avoid the contact though). Easy yellow. 03:15 -Foul against blue. As we go into this, it looks like the blue player is doing everything correctly. But, he lets his foot go too high - missing the ball and tripping the player. You can say "he got the ball", but he gained control of the ball with his left foot on the follow through, not the tackling right foot. I think it was an honest effort to get the ball, so no caution - just the foul. 03:19 -Foul against red. No attempt to play the ball, just pushed the red player off balance enough to make him fall. 03:22 -Foul against blue. Just too late getting to the ball. No further punishment, but that defender is going into the tackle with the "the man and ball don't pass together" mantra. 03:24 -No foul. Shoulder to shoulder challenge. The white player is scared of his opponent, so doesn't commit - that's why it looks worse than it is. As this all looks like US soccer, I will give a link of the USSF guidelines of what is a "fair shoulder charge": www.askasoccerreferee.com/parameters-of-the-fair-shoulder-charge/ The blue player had momentum, but I believe it was appropriate and the tackle was not reckless. Therefore, no foul. 03:26 -No idea. It looks dodgy, but our view of the incident is blocked - therefore we cannot make a decision. I'd possibly stop the game (if I was worried about an injury), and resume with a bounce ball. 03:29 -No foul. I don't see anything wrong, both players went up to challenge for the header - one won it, the other didn't. 03:31 -Foul against white, but play advantage. The dark shirt player shields the ball excellently, the white player impedes his opponent's momentum while falling. The white team gained no advantage from this, and the dark shirt team would rather the keeper have the ball in his hands - so nice advantage. 03:36 -Foul, penalty and red card. The Yellow player only begins his tackle movement AFTER the ball has been lifted over his head. Foot lifted to catch opponent, elbow also looks to make contact: dangerous foul play, red card. Also, he's the last defender and denied a goalscoring chance, so also red card for professional foul. 03:41 -Foul. It looks to me that he just runs into the white player's back and pushes him over. Definite foul, possible yellow card dependant on what happened just before (which we do not see) 03:46 -No Foul. Are you kidding me, he got hit by a pass from his own player?
Ken Savage i am shocked that 1:48 is just yellow...normaly this is a red card. He touched the ball first yes..but he was in the air with both feeds to the enemy..it's too dangerous so it must be a red card
yeah i agree. each referee to their own opinion obviously but to me it’s clear endangerment of the player safety, you can’t leave your feet like that and not at least run the risk of a yellow
In my defense, I'm basing my statement from being able to watch the replay multiple times (and in slow motion if I like). As we all are, I suppose.... ;) At the moment going to the ball contact, the tackler's feet are both on the ground. Yes, there are studs showing - but there's an appreciable distance between the player and his opponent. I believe that this tackle was superbly timed. However, I do agree with you Sam. This type of tackle does run the risk of a yellow. And if it's badly timed, it could easily be a red. I just think this one was excellently timed. If we were commentators, this is the kind of tackle we'd debate over in a half time show! Having rewatched the position of the referee - I don't believe he sees the tackle as clearly as we do. Therefore, I'd probably have given a foul and the yellow like he did.
at 1:48 I would have given a red, the way he came in cleats first showed he no regard for the safety of the other player, it was reckless and met several of the red card criteria including speed , force, aggression, position of tackle, location and mode of tackle--he could have easily broken that other players ankle. too much testosterone at play
Petro Liam He clearly cared for his stately somewhat since he timed the tackle perfectly. Also we don’t have the best angle exactly. We have no idea how far the ball was from the player.
Peter Gougov it’s pretty clearly written in the rules of the game that this is a red card. It’s sad that people so ignorant to the rules speak so confidently about them.
Peter Gougov no in Europe that would be a straight red. That is dangerous. I don’t think u wanna be the one walking away with a broken leg/ankle if the player who did that at 1:44 to u and missed the ball, yea not fun
I feel like whoever made this doesn't know soccer that well cause while these are pretty hard hits they really arent that dirty or cheap for the most part. I hate that this is the first result for "dirtiest high school soccer fouls"
2:48 Isn't that bad of a tackle. Yes, the player was sent flying into his face, but you have to think about how the ball was won. You could tell the defender was trying to go in for a clean slide tackle but it is possible that the dry grass had completely stopped his momentum and forced him into the seemingly 'dangerous' challenge. Please don't hate on this, I'm 13 and I don't have the best knowledge on football/soccer. Now that I have realised, this paragraph is probably the most structured I have made. Thanks if you read this. Have a fantastic day! 😀

As this all looks like US soccer, I will give a link of the USSF guidelines of what is a "fair shoulder charge":
www.askasoccerreferee.com/parameters-of-the-fair-shoulder-charge/
The blue player had momentum, but I believe it was appropriate and the tackle was not reckless.
Definite foul, possible yellow card dependant on what happened just before (which we do not see)
03:46 -No Foul.
As we all are, I suppose.... ;)
At the moment going to the ball contact, the tackler's feet are both on the ground.
The dude in the white diving into his dreams
The first is clean
They are everyday tackles in sunday league 🤷♂️
at 1:48 I would have given a red, the way he came in cleats first showed he no regard for the safety of the other player, it was reckless and met several of the red card criteria including speed , force, aggression, position of tackle, location and mode of tackle--he could have easily broken that other players ankle. too much testosterone at play
Straight red any day
Petro Liam He clearly cared for his stately somewhat since he timed the tackle perfectly. Also we don’t have the best angle exactly. We have no idea how far the ball was from the player.
Peter Gougov it’s pretty clearly written in the rules of the game that this is a red card. It’s sad that people so ignorant to the rules speak so confidently about them.
@Peter Gougov apparently youve got no fucking clue
Peter Gougov no in Europe that would be a straight red. That is dangerous. I don’t think u wanna be the one walking away with a broken leg/ankle if the player who did that at 1:44 to u and missed the ball, yea not fun
1:11 was perfectly fine it was so clean
Surprisingly, not clickbait
Most where clean
Were
Half the tackles arent even bad
3:45 yeah kicking the ball at your own teammate is definitely worthy of a red
That happened to me,my teammate kicked it really hard in my stomach when I was right in front of her.But I just walked it off and kept playing.
Nick Burgess did a world class challenge
👏👏👌🔱🐃🌎😎👑🍻⚽👺👹💪🗿
0:58 music pls
1:48 that was not a foul it was a beautiful slide tackle
Double footed. studs up. foul.
@@freemode123 not in Brasil that’s a norma tackle cause he got to the ball first and did not touch the player at all
In England we wouldn't even consider these as fouls 😂😂
I'm from England and yes we would consider them fouls
Still cant beat the British Sunday League footie
2:48 is one of the most badass sticks I’ve seen. Totally clean too, other dude just ran into him
What do you mean by stick?
The art of defending. Ft. Sergio ramos's relatives.
Beautiful!
1:10 damn that was clean
The ref wouldn’t blow the whistle for most of these in English Sunday league.
They think, they're playing rugby.
Americans.. Would start a Fight watching Chess!!
So true😂
This video should be called hard challenges in football because theses only a few fouls
1:50 great challenge so many of these are just brilliant tackles 🤣
He got a yellow card BRUH
That's excessive force and a red card bro.
A lot were in my opinion send off or yellows
These are the cleanest tackles compared to English Sunday league
Eles ainda tem muito que aprender com o junior baiano!
0:14 anyone know where I can find this video
That team with collared jerseys just made so annoyed anyone else
Half of these aren't even fouls
I wish they had the tackle that broke my arm see how clean that one was
Some were clean tackles

Studded the guy on the inside of the knee 🤔
song pls
Be nice Robert be nice, get the magic sponge 👀👀
The first one what a challenge
First one isn’t a foul. It’s a 50 50 challenge and the guy in black got a touch on the ball before making any contact with the oppositions player
"I got the ball ref"
why would you have the first clip be one that's not even a foul
The real foul here is how you called football soccer
Neymar would be proud of these dives
These are all proper clean tackles in England
F O O T B A L L
Majority of these in England ain’t even given
The fact it’s only a video of boys playing.🧐
Truely speaking there are nirmal tackles and a bit too much agressivity that's all
I feel like whoever made this doesn't know soccer that well cause while these are pretty hard hits they really arent that dirty or cheap for the most part. I hate that this is the first result for "dirtiest high school soccer fouls"
BTW, if you hit the ball before the player it’s legal
Soccer? Foot 🦶 ball ⚽️. It’s called football.
never happened to me, I was careful not to get into a melee. you know when you cant get to the ball without the defender cracking your bones,
What the fuck is this music
all i hear is: peep.. peep.. peep..
Most of these tackles seem like poor timing. Kind of tackle you get from some who doesn’t really play football and can’t control his body.
That Nick Burgess Dude didn’t deserve a yellow card as it clearly shows that it was a clean tackle and that the other player dived
Kii Batey thank u for admitting u don’t know much. It’s better than claiming u know a lot than not actually knowing a lot
All clean play on
These people look like College dudes in debt
Fouls, like 5 out of 50
Some of these were good tackles
I wish pros played like this 😂
The first wasn't a foul, the contact was on the ball not the leg or ankel.
