My perspective on Emergency fund is to have sufficient liquid investments that could very well serve for short, medium or long term depending on when the emergency would occur. But more than anything it is important to hedge all types of emergencies with insurance so that you don’t only depend on the emergency fund when the need arises.
Planning based on duration is traditional way. Most modern financial planners in western countries are planning nowadays based on cash flow expectations. Lump sums or regular cash flow. Lump sum is equivalent to short term & large cash flows is equivalent to long term.
Emergency fund should be treated as hygiene and not an investment. Only then one can resist the temptation to chase returns. In case of emergency funds- capital protection is more important than capital growth.
Emergency fund should not be considered an investment at all... It has to be parked some in liquid fund, some in FD and some in normal savings account for immediate access

Can you make a video for how to make investments between the age of 45 to 60? Should we invest lumpsum in mutual funds for 5 years or 10 years when we are in our 40s?

No extra tax . It will be same as tax for resident Indian
The answer to your query on emergency Fund depends on the age of the investor, to categorise between Short term and Medium Term.
