Thanks for covering us, love the channel! To answer a few things, we formed in 2022, no idea where people get 2018? The lineup has had a couple changes since the one mentioned too. We don't have band camp but the album is available through RPM (that Fireflash became a part of) & merch via our own site. New album set for 2025! All the best N' HEAVY METAL FOR ETERNITY!
Saw Tailgunner earlier this year as opening act for Riot and fell in love with their music from the first second on. What an insanely good live band. Remind me a lot of the early powerful Maiden. Bought the cd and it is so good. Can't wait for the next album. They will play Rock hard festival this year. Tower Hill are on spotify so I will give them a chance.
All bands presented in this episode are awesome! Of course, special nod to Tailgunner, with whom we had a pleasure and honor to share the stage on two festivals! Great people and superb musicians! 🤘🏻❤️🔥🍻😎
Tailgunner are awesome. I've had the pleasure of becoming friends with them and they are awesome guys, they're amazing live and I would highly reccomend seeing them if you ever get the chance
hey there! First of all, Pete, I hope you had a great Christmas, and best wishes for the upcoming new year! I wanted to echo some other folks below when I state I'd like these shows with a bit more frequency, but when they show up, I always watch...it's particularly cool when there are bands that I've never heard before; although I don't mind when you guys discuss bands I'm already familiar with, THIS episode was especially cool since the only band I was familiar with is Portrait, and I was unaware of the new album you mentioned. I checked out all 5 of the albums mentioned herein, and was really happy with 4 of them...not to disparage the 5th band, but I thought they were just "ok." Cool episode, and that Shadows album cover is incredible...worth the price of admission alone...
Love Tower Hill and Portrait. Not so keen on Helvetets Port. Haven't heard enough Tailgunner and don't know Shadows at all. I'll have to check them out.
As you asked for more: Century (Sweden) Heavy Sentence (UK) Lucifer's Hammer (Chile) Tower (USA) Amethyst (Switzerland) Vendel (Russia) Freeways (Canada)
@ Pete gave their debut 4and1/2 stars. But then never reviewed the second one. He loved the first. It’s like mid 80s metal like Ozzy, TNT, and Dokken. Amazing band
Hey gents, good episode again, thanks for introducing me to SHADOWS and TOWER HILL, already aware of Tailgunner as they're from over here, and I've heard 2 or 3 Portrait albums but not the new one yet. Helvetets Port I've just discovered via another channel (sorry Pete, being unfaithful to SoT!), really cheesy but in a good way! Happy New Year, and here's to the next one!
Pete has done a ranking of the Tool albums. He reviewed Fear Inoculum when it came out. You can see those videos on this channel if you search TH-cam. In his intro for the Tool ranking Pete says “This is a band with no weak albums.” Yeah not getting the sense that Pete does not like Tool. Where did you get that idea, or are you confusing him with another TH-camr?

Tailgunner was my fav of the five bands discussed. Great old school sounding NWOBHM.

Love Portrait and Helvetets Port both great albums in 2024 ❤💯🤘🤘

Hi Pete and Rich, a future episode on New Wave Of Australian Heavy Metal bands would be good to see. 1980 to present. All the best for the new year.
These 5 are all new to me, excited to check them all out. Thanks again guys for keeping a spotlight on this movement.
Pete and Rich , love this show ! Was wondering when we would get a new one . Thanks guys 👍
Love Tower Hill and Portrait. Not so keen on Helvetets Port. Haven't heard enough Tailgunner and don't know Shadows at all. I'll have to check them out.

Pete, a big fan... I wonder, why don't you like the band tool?
Who said I don’t like Tool?
