If you're new to Hebrew and to our channel, please note that this course is designed so that you won't need any translation to understand by the time you reach this lesson. This is lesson 123, so be sure to start from Lesson 1 and watch in order for the best learning experience!
Shalom shalom. May your family be kept in the cover of His mighty arm and guard all your neighborly endeavor to straighten the wayward understanding of many inclining themselves to Hebrew language.
Thanks for another vid! I notice that there is a word for 'gates' Isa 26:2 פִּתְח֖וּ שְׁעָרִ֑ים וְיָבֹ֥א גוֹי־ צַדִּ֖יק שֹׁמֵ֥ר אֱמֻנִֽים׃ - 'she'arim' instead of 'deletim' with the mas plural 'pitchu' - which is not evident in English.
This (שְׁעָרִ֑ים) is the plural form of שַׁעַר when it is in the pausal form (notice the athnac under the resh) which lengthens. When it is not in pause it would be שַׁעֲרַיִם. deletim would mean doors, rather than gates.
I don't believe that! Go back to lesson one and give it another try. Watch lesson one until it makes sense, then lesson two, and so on. There's no rush, and as long as you know more today than you did yesterday, you'll be making progress! It really does work, and it's worth the journey!

Toda raba!
פתח is also the name of a vowel, and the same vowel (written differently) is called fatḥa in Arabic and ptaḥa in Aramaic.
Always felt terrible for Balaam's donkey. 🤥 Trusting the LORD took care of her in his way.
❤️❤️❤️🤓🤓🤓toda raba
12:16 onwards, "lekh el-haddelet" etc. Not to nitpick, but would it not be "haddAlet" in pausa?
Yes, IF you're choosing to speak with pausal forms all the time. I only use them when quoting the biblical text, not for all utterances. 😊

Wouldn't the preposition coalesce with the proper name at the end to be layhweh in yirmyahû 7:2?
