Hello. I know that this is a hard balance, but would be great to have even more new Vocab words in the upcoming lessons. I am sure that it is quite hard to balance introducing new grammatical forms with introducing new Vocab, but I also know that Vocab is equally important to the new grammar we are learning. So just a thought. But thank you for all the hard work!

Are you sure in 5:09 it's a new form and not just "qatal" with and, esp. since there's a simple "qatal" following!? Same in 6:38, except this time a simple "qatal" precedes it... This is one reason I don't get this lesson...
There is some scholarly debate as to whether or not to consider veqatal a separate verb form from qatal, but that aside, in both the cases you mention, the change in accent to the final syllable is evidence that it's not just a normal qatal form. Also in 6:38, that's a participle בא preceding it, not a qatal, and the context is pretty clear that Moses is speaking about a hypothetical future scenario. At the end of the day, the point is to understand the passages, regardless of how we analyze the verbs, which may differ. 😊
@@AlephwithBeth Well, I'm used to call these forms "past", "future", and "reversed future". So the real question is whether that's a "reversed past" or not...
