You are the MAN. Thank you for showing us the ways to do it. My G is 185k miles 6mt and im thinking about pulling the motor to rebuild the engine on my own.
Outstanding video. The fact that you went over your thought process when tackling some of the more ambiguous steps was extremely helpful. Details such as those can take an average guide and turn them into a fully detailed tutorial. I look forward to checking out the rest of your content.
Why didn't you just un plug the harness from the ecu from the inside of the car and pull the motor and harness at the same time then take the harness off. Look up videos of it
Ik im a little late but i recommended if you building a g and pullinga moter fully strup it down fenders and all, core support up way out of the way give yourself room you have time much love to the g guys who keep it clean and take it to the track ❤
Great video bro, I have an 03 G35 with rod knock 🤬 so gonna look into doing an engine swap soon. Thanks for your close attention to detail. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Great vid bro! If I only wanted to take the motor out is there any extra steps besides taking the tranny bell bolts out? In other videos mention that you must take the 4 turbine screws out but they say why is it needed?
This is a great video actually best I’ve seen on engine removal I just need a video like this for vhr37 😮💨 everyone always fast forwards through the process and it doesn’t help I have to swap my engine on my g37 so this helped thanks
Good news is the vq37 is very similar with the only major difference is the design of the cylinder heads. I don’t have a video on it but it’s the same as this video the only difference is you’ll need to unhook the harness front the front and back of the cylinder heads not just the back. Also the radiator hoses are in a different spot. Some of the vacuum lines to the plenum are different because of the dual intakes but that’s about it!
I took a running DE non rev up off a 06 sedan as a donor for my coupe and I lost my ecu so I sourced another one. The security light doesn't even turn on I haven't gotten the ecu programmed to the key yet but I will soon but I was wondering should the car be able to read and crank before I programmed it it has no crank. All grounds are good and everything is plugged
Good video, There is another M35x engine pull video, that guy compares it to pulling and installing 2 motors in 2 other cars. I am almost done with mine, installing a newer motor, a lot of work.
Once unbolted I just let the line drain. When you put everything back make sure to turn the wheel all the way both ways and add fluid as needed. That’s all it takes to bleed it
This video was extremely helpful. My timing chains are due. No noises yet but its at its recommend mileage due to be changed. The shops want 3,000-5,000 just for timing chains. I could get a fkn LS engine for that price. I COULD even buy a completely rebuilt engine from top to bottom for 2,000 and be good to go. I absolutely refuse to pay the shops that much just for some timing chain replacement. While I'm at It I ordered a front end suspension kit and struts and shocks. Waiting to price out the tools needed for the engine removal and go from there. Even if it costs the same amount as paying the shops I know I'm getting my monies worth and they wont scam me and cost me more money telling me something else needs to be done 😂 3,000 out of pocket and do it myself feels more rewarding and I can trust everything is done right.

Or just make a suggestion instead of coming off as rude and implying he did it all entirely wrong.
