The angle of the phone was a hugely helpful tip that other videos didn't touch. It has drastically increased the professional look to my photos. Thank you!
EXCELLENT. As a Realtor for 20 years, one of my pet peeves is taking a picture of a chair... on a wall... with a painting... My question is always, "Is this included?" Your tips are excellent. Yes, a phone works just fine if you know what you're trying to 'SELL'. Sell the house, not the furniture. Move things around. The beds not made? Make the bed. There's a trash can in the way? Move it out of the shot. There are clothes on the bed or chair? Move them out of the shot. Remember to return them back where they were. It's simple.... SELL THE HOUSE. Not the wall, not the floor, not the mirrored door in 'whatever room? Sell the entire floorplan. I love that you take the shot from the doorway. The door frame gives you a straight line reference and is usually not part of the shot. If it is, you can edit that out by 'cropping' the photo. Editing? In every phone there is a way to change the shot. Lighter, darker, clearer. Sepia, Enhanced color. Crop, straighten. One thing... turn on the lights. Open the curtains in the rooms and the shower curtain (if in the shower/tub there is stuff, move them out of the shot) And close the darn toilet lid. grrrr One more item when entering your photos in the listing, you can 'label' the photo or give a description. Play with the ap. Realtor.com allows you to go back in and put a description in the actual photo. Or you can do it before you enter the photo in the listing. For instance; Photo of a bedroom, you can write on the photo, "Bedroom 3 upper level. Or main level, or Bedroom 3, 12'x14'. I also like entering the photos in order. From the entry door, through to the next room, dining or kitchen. Down the hall to Bedroom #1, #2... Up the stairway or down the stairway... From the room the stairs are in. Gives the buyer who is online a 'general' layout of the house. Don't start in the bathroom... or the upstairs bedroom. Start at the front door. Thank you for doing this video. I hope some agents actually take heed and work for their clients.
This video was fantastic. Thank you so much! Would you consider creating an HDR tutorial?? Or possibly pointing me in the direction of a good starting-point video? I'm OBSESSED with how your HDR photographs looked at the end of the video!!

Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm curious about the process you used to merge the true HDR pictures - the underexposed, overexposed, and normal ones. I would appreciate it if you could show me how you combined them. Thanks again.
This was an amazing video! So well explained! I think the best one on youtube, I see that it is 4 years old. do the new i phones have better HDR settings, I dont understand how to combine 3 photos at different exposre
Acceptable photos, better than you would normally shoot photos, etc are not necessarily "professional" photos. AND, "professional" photos does not always mean good photos just because someone is paid to shoot or shoot with something other than a phone. I've seen this in all forms of photography. These are still great tips.
Ok, but you didn’t show me how to do the low, high, and medium HDR on the iPhone. I’ve looked on my iPhone and I don’t see where to do that. I have an iPhone 13. I just did some research and I guess it does not have the option you are talking about.
I was so close to making this an excelete video. Please help me understand why did you not show the post process on how you made the windows not blown out? I know how to, but I really would like to know your process if you may.
Hi Thiago! We made this tutorial for the agents at our agency. They send us the photos and we take care of the editing. It was a way for either an agent or even a homeowner to get quality picture done during the lockdown.
Awesome video! I think this will be very helpful to anyone who watching for the basics of shooting and setting. What are you using to edit the photos to bring everything all together at that exit level?
Thanks, Matt! I pull raw photos into Lightroom, adjust them there, push them to Photoshop when I need to correct something, save it (which creates an updated copy in Lightroom), and then mass export all photos out of Lightroom.
Hi Keller. Thanks very much for the video. Could you please kindly confirm how you achieved such quality photos? How did you get from white light outside to clearly visible trees with a blue sky? How to get such a sky? Any hints, please? Thank you
I have been using a 18mm lens by Moment. It attaches to my phone via a phone case also by Moment. I spent under $120 for the case and lens. FYI if you're using a gimbal it the lens adds weight to phone and off set the balance it would otherwise have. Make sure you gimbal or tripod is set or is able to handle the change in weight and balance.
Hey John! This article was saying that the popular photo app VSCO will let you shoot raw on an iPhone 8. Here's a link to that article: www.iphonehacks.com/2018/08/how-take-raw-photos-iphone-x-iphone-8.html
Good story I actually went through this but my uncle was never stupid to believe her stories but actually came to my dm to ask what happened then sent me money to go buy food outside if I'm hungry.... Gender female too do aha
Taking RE pics with a cell phone is a BAD, BAD idea. I tried it first hand, and it's costing me dearly. Several agents have told me that my photos don't make the house look as grand as it is. A cell phone does not have a wide angle lens. As a result, rooms AND the property look VERY SMALL which is LISTING DEATH. I'm having little interest as a result. Get a REAL camera like a FULL frame DSLR and a 16-35mm lens.

You have best video for shooting real estate with your phone on TH-cam 🎉
Thanks for distilling this info in a nutshell. I learned a lot. Appreciate your humor. You are entertaining. Holds the viewer's interest!
As a photographer 📸 I tilt my hat down to you sir...very well done!
I love how grounded and real you are bro! Kick ass
Ya but how did you do the editing ? That's the biggest part
Editing is the biggest part. I'd suggest you leave how to edit before you start taking photos

All of my mistakes came flooding back. Thank you this was very helpful!
Once you take the three HDR exposures, how are you then getting that final result?
So what do tou do with the three separate photos for HDR? How are they stitched together?
Cracking tips. Thanks so much. I just learnt tons in this video!
Very helpful. Don't get the HDR editing part though??
Super helpful, thanks brother
This taught me more than past realestate videos
VERY VERY informative with great tips.
Thank you for the wonderful video. I'm curious about the process you used to merge the true HDR pictures - the underexposed, overexposed, and normal ones. I would appreciate it if you could show me how you combined them.
Thanks again.
Good for you-using a phone camera-exactly what I would do. Please make more videos on using the phone camera and editing.
You are insanely talented! Love this so much!
Did you use another phone app to blend the single HDR frames you shot? Great video!
Great video, but no hint about the editing software for HDR stacking?
Great information. Also Using the wide angle lens always helps capture real estate photography.
Excellent basic advice. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing…..a question…what is pixel 3 that you said using it?… thanks for the reply🙏🌺

This is AWESOME! Thank you!

Lost me at true HDR. How do we get there with those three photos
grea vid thx You should just add wide angle tip, it's showing much more room

Best video on this subject. Thanks
Thanks for doing this
Great informing video, thank you!
Wow. Probably the most informative video on RE shooting on the Tube. Thanks. Just one question. Which software for HDR editing?
Personally I blend using the free Enfuse plugin for Adobe Lightroom Classic. Plenty of quality choices out there though.
@@kellerwilliamsempower thanks.
@@kellerwilliamsempower do you have a video on how that works?
Thank you, this was very helpful!
Lifesaver! Thanks!

Appreciate the kind words! That's a good idea. Maybe we can follow up with more.
@@kellerwilliamsempower Awesome, thank you!
Great video thank you. Would you recommend using the panoramic mode if the lens on the phone is not wide enough?
100%, man! Use everything to make the pictures looks wide. Panoramic will be your friend.
Great video, tnks!

Hi
Hope you are well.
Could you please kindly advise on the above?
I am looking this technique for a year now.
Great video, thanx. Witch wide angle lens would you recommend for the cellphone?

I need some time to get my settings right on my IPhone 8.

P.S. There are definitely some photos that could be used as comparisons. I used to save them just to show my mentees.
Thank you for this amazing video.
Meanwhile there are better phones out. Question is: Is the Samsung S21U useful compared to the Iphone 13?
Osm sir
Man, it is called exposure bracketing! Some expensive cameras have it, and phones just use an app and presto!
Thanks Louis CK
I need to start someone put me in the door I only have a iPad Pro 12.9
Deeecent. Pixel RE photography lowkey sleeper.
The biggest difference in kitchen photos was changing the light.

It's the same like racing Ferrari on honda civic
Good story

What you win to teach others how to not call professional photographers? I am real estate photographer, i have a family, i still need the job.
Change your market. DIY is for people who penny pinch. Go for people where money is no object and offer what they perceive is value.
Shooting phone photos for real estate lol. This is a terrible idea and YT compression makes it more believable. Don’t do this, get actual photos

S21 and S22 ultra definitely have wide angle as does the new iphone
@@LakeLivingPA That may be adequate, then. Most cell phone cameras aren't wide enough. You should have a 90 deg. angle of view or more.
This is such a great video thank you.
