I like the good basic overview of the basic iPhone shots. Some people can overthink the camera moves. There are some very inexpensive smartphone gimbals less than half the price of the Osmo especially since you don't need some of the more arcane follow features some have. One reason to do the editing yourself though is for the fastest turnaround. Don't need to send files to someone else, get them back, and double-check that all the important shots were used. Perhaps do one on fast turnaround edited yourself videos and quickly adding the stock music. BTW an interesting business model to explore is if you live in an urban area you could do multiple condos, coops, upscale apartments in the same complex or at least the same block. You could do multiple units in an hour or so (and charge for that of course).
Thank you for creating this video, Eli. I was under the impression that we should use a gimbal. So I hadn't even bothered to practice video yet. Now I will. Even in the FB group, the members felt it would be unprofessional without one. Hard to keep a beginner budget at less than $1K ($600+$250+$200+$100). So adding a gimbal, puts it above that budget.
How do you keep vertical lines? How do you keep lighting right? Do you shoot these at .5 or 1x ? I'm a content / social media guy and not a photographer. I'm looking to break into a new market doing real estate social media videos.
For vertical lines use the camera grids and line them up with the walls. For the lighting you set it up before you start shooting and touch the iPhone screen for a few seconds and that way you lock the exposure so it doesn't change when you start moving. Yes shoot 0.5x so you get a wide angle.
Hey I use my slider for shooting videos and was wondering if I could use the Insta360 X4 camera instead for shooting cinematic shots for real estate videos? Any suggestions?

Hey! Generally, 24 fps for that cinematic, movie-like feel, 30 fps for a standard smooth look, and 60 fps when you want buttery smooth motion or slow-mo shots. Choose based on the vibe you want!” Charm from Eli's Team

Do you shoot in pro res log and put luts on it later or just straight out of the iPhone footage?

4K 60 FPS so you can slow it down on post.
Thanks for making this video!
Were you shooting 60 or 30fps on the iPhone?
I just bought an Oppo Find x7 phone
Didn't know I could do without gimbal.
