38 years ago today (March 3 1986), Metallica's third album Master of Puppets was released. It is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential metal albums of all time
I can personally thank Metallica as this is the album that got me into metal. I know listen to way heavier stuff like knocked loose, immortal disfigurement, Lorna shore, slaughter to prevail and periphery but I still have wide respect for Metallica for getting me into this wonderful genre
That's pretty unlikely, as the band literally only finished recording and flew back from the studio in Copenhagen to the States around Christmas time '85. They didn't get the mixing completed before going home and the mixing was done in January '86.
This is a lie. Mustaine and Cliff were the creative geniuses for the band. Which is why Metallica become 💩 after cliff died and mustaine was kicked out
RIP Cliff. He never even got to play Orion live
WHAT!?!? thats so sad
I was a senior in high school. Metal maiden for life ❤🎉🤘
I remember seeing them open up for ozzy. I was on the side with Cliff watching him head banging and hocking loogies.

Master of Puppets is also the first metal song to be preserved by the Library of Congress....
Ironic. Metallica is anti-war 😂.
Master!
I remember the day got a ride down the local record store and pick me up a copy and I still have it today
Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings...... I'm 32, Metallica fan since I was 9 or 10 😁🤘
RIP Cliff Burton, the best Metallica bassist and possibly the best ever.
O melhor álbum cliff eterno o melhor
Saw them about 3 days before "it" happened.
Only magazines back then.😊
Best thing they ever did
The best metal band ever
I'm from Brazil, I clearly remember I bought this album in January 86. Why was it only come out in March in the USA?

Cliff had a lot to do with the writing process. So did Kirk. It wasn't just Hetfield and Ulrich.
You better mention Dave when speaking about early Metallica albums
MASTER OF MUSIC!!!
My favorite
OHHHHH HECK YEAHHHH ❤
I remember this, i was a spermatozoid while listening to this.
Was just listening to the album earlier today
I fucking miss cliff
The peak
Obey your master🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The last album they made before they sold out.
Pancakes go!
❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Too bad Rammstein doesn't get played on American radio
MASTER MASTER
And then came trash like Enter Sandman
The bass in this song rips
In all of the songs on their earlier albums. Jason had some great lines too
@@tlevalike his baseline under the blackened solo my God it’s beautiful
@@zuckleyplays4120 I know right, the one bassline (clean part) is killer too
Cliff Barton
Pastor of Muppets
Such a disservice to call Metallica and MOP "Thrash"
Hetfield is a better singer
Mustaine is a better guitarist
The first decade they were unstoppable... Too bad 72 seasons is absolute washed out water down pop music
Dave Mustaine and Cliff Burton is the only reason why Metallica's worth while
Yep, Dave still has riffs on this CD, Metallica are conartists!
🔥👊🤘🎵🎸 HIGH CLIFF🥯 THEY ALSO WROTE SONGS WITH DAVE MUSTAINES🎸🎵🤘👊🔥🇺🇲🌎🇺🇲🔥👊🤘🎵
Metallica sold out. They suck they suck.
That band carried a horrible drummer
They suck
Best album but everything else sucked
