Sorry for the late reply. Essentially, by making it longer with the same cutting diagram, you are making a cape that becomes wider more slowly towards the base. You should be fine making it longer, I'm just trying to imagine how the top part would then fit - as you still want it to fit around the body/shoulders. I would perhaps suggest making the horizontal measurement at the top a bit bigger and then the drawstring would take up any excess, or curve the side edge outwards. Trying it out on scrap fabric would be the best idea though. I hope that helps a bit!
@@RokoleeDIY Thank you so much for your reply! As I am just a beginner I realised the measuring could be a bit tricky…but through your advice I might first want to try it out on some scrap fabric. Thank you for the advice😃
I actually made this cloak more for teenagers or adults as a 'one-size fits all' design. For older children it should also be fine (you may just want to alter the length), and for younger children you would need to shrink the width of fabric that will go around the shoulders too. It's a very easy shape to alter though, and the method of putting it together remains the same. :)
Hi! I've just checked and I can see the points although the pink and yellow are on the edge. Maybe the screen you're using is cutting off the top and bottom of the image somehow?
Beautiful video. Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Oh wow
Got my pieces cut out and will be sewing it soon. Fingers crossed 🍀
Excellent! Happy crafting :)
Thanksveryfor sharing the method
If I want to make a longer cloak do I have to also increase the width? Or it's fine to keep the width 150cm?
