I love this tutorial! For a little while now I have been tossing around the idea of sewing myself a cloak to wear out and about on chilly days, but I was having trouble looking for the right video to follow. This is perfect! And you are even using velvet!(I was going to use a dark green or blue velvet for mine) again, thank you so much, this is so helpful and I'm looking forward to making my own.☺💗

My homecoming is in like 2 weeks, our theme is fantasy and I want to do a fantasy thing but all the capes on Amazon look kinda bad so I'mma make my own :^) Thanks lots Ms.Monica!

I was so drawn in to that color as well :) I was torn between that and a really pretty teal velvet, but this seemed more Halloween feeling so I had to go with it! XO
May I suggest sewing the ribbon down in the middle of the cape so the ribbon never pulls out? Just make sure you're sewing the middle of the ribbon in the middle of the cape!! Thank you, I plan on making atleast 4 of these for Christmas and I appreciate the simplicity of them!!

Cloaks should never have gone out of style
just attempted to make this and its not perfect but its comfy!! plus its the first wearable...ish thing i've made since i got my machine
