Alright, do you agree the Brompton shouldn't have a kickstand? How do you bring your pets along to the ride? Let's share your story with us here.

I have a kickstand on my B, it's a convenience and longevity thing for me. It's not every instance I want to half-fold, kickstand is fastest if I want to dismount for a short while. It also reduces the wear and tear of the easy wheels, rack, or mudguard (scratches, tension, etc) from half folding.

Thanks for spending time with the video. Most of the time when I stop my bike, I would have just lean the bike again a wall or pole. That's the easiest for me.

I have kickstand because I put stuff on the rack, and half fold when I do. If I find a rack sack I like or I get a better trailer I’ll probably take it off though

To me, the new M bar is nicer than the old one which improves the overall aesthetics of the Brompton.

It was the T-Bag and C-Bag that wasn’t compatible with the S Bar. It actually can work just that the cable rubs the plastic handle. In the past people solved it by sawing the handle off or using the S Bag Frame(which is shorter). You can now easily find 3rd party frames without handle thanks to the clones for that😆 Now all the newer bags has the nylon soft handle to eliminate that issue. T-Bag is still the best! Haha loved Debbie’s recollection of her experience at diginexx aka mightyvelo is very accurate.🤣

I have a P handlebar which is too low for me and the palms of my hands get a little numb. Any suggestions? I use a T Bag on the front, and also an old freezer basket which I tied into a spare frame, and use this for taking the recycling down the road for disposal.
I think I would consider a kickstand because I often strap a box or some other load to the rack. One box had a slot in the base to take a short length of 2 by 1 inch wood which could be used to prop the bike up, not forgetting to put it back in the box before setting off again.
My chain pusher fell off last week on a rough road surface. The retaining bolt fell out, and the washer 'which must not be lost' rolled away into the verge. I found a replacement slot headed screw, an old washer and used some locktite to secure the screw solidly in place. Having tightened the gear cable as well my derailleur is now better than ever.
If you ever do any work on a front derailleur I would be interested. I think you did an HH 50/34 chainwheel video some time ago? I have a 50T (BCD 104), 22T (BCD 64) which is great for hills, and plan a 34T for the middle chainwheel. 22T is very impressive on steep hills, (if you don't fall off because you're going too slow :) My bottom gear on the granny ring is 14.5 inches, but then the top gear of 44 inches spins out at about 8 MPH with a cadence of 70, and I have to get off and engage the dinner plate. The dinner plate gives a top gear of 100 inches and the bike has an overall range of 14.5 to 100. A front derailleur would make this an awesome touring bike, with separate gear ranges for mountains, rolling downs and flat roads with the wind behind you.
    Good wishes to you both.

I really don't want a kickstand, but I'll have to add a hook for a Thule trailer soon. I can't half-fold with the trailer attached and I can't attach the trailer without the bike standing on it's own. Any recommendations for that predicament? Also the child in the trailer is too young for the folding brompton seats... So far my alternative is not using the brompton and I don't like that option.

What does she say at 11:00 about men riding Bromptons with a bag on the front? Is it a Chinese phrase?

Why a kick stand, as you are able to fold the back on your Brompton, or cheap, miserable clones, and let it stand on that? I have but I don't use racks, even though mine are both made from titanium (but never used on my bike)! Most times I have enough room in my T-bag for my goods! Finn. Denmark

I follow you. Most of the time I just lean the bike again some solid object like a wall or something.
