Wonderful! I LOVE this! Beautiful medieval music played to beautiful and gentle creatures. It's so good to see the connection being made between humans and animals in a positive way. Animals really do respond to music, and it's joyous to watch. More, please; much more!
I just watched, and WOW! The combo of preservation and bringing to life into the present this ancient song along with a really skillful and playful video...what a gift for us who celebrate Yuletide. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They’re adorable. It must have been fun to make. Thank you for sharing your creativity - and the detailed history in the description. Happy Holidays to the Murmur Mori crew.
Fabulous! How did you get the ass to stay still? I would have been dancing. :-) Happy Christmas to Murmur Mori with my thanks for all the wonderful music.
Wonderful video! So nice to have their hard work and contributions celebrated! I love the part where he's scratching himself on the tree 😁 lolol (1:19)
Che gioia ! Che felicità ! Che meraviglioso regalo di Natale ! È gioioso come “Norma contro Natura”! 🥰
Concordi laetitia reloaded ❤ Or as Graham Faulkner, Leigh Lawson, Nick Willatt, Mike Feast, Pete Firth, Rossi Attolico, Fra Guerrieri and many others used to sing in Brother Sun, Sister Moon: "WE GIVE THA-ANKS!"
This is excellent. I cannot help but notice more than a passing resemblance to "Bacche Bene Venies" in the structure of this song. Was this done on purpose by either the original creators or you?
We stuck to the music reported in the manuscript that you can see at the end of the video. The music has some similarities with Bacche bene venies, which is not surprising because in medieval music these things often happen. Bacche bene venies is in turn a contrafactum of "Jubilemus Regi nostro" from the Ludus Danielis. 🌹
@@MurmurMori Thankyou so much for your answer. I had suspected that what i was hearing was the "recycling" of themes and melodies reworked between musical pieces you are describing. Now i need to track down this "Jubilius Regi Nostro" piece you mention Thankyou again
A glorious union of the sacred and the silly ❤️ I needed to see this, to remember what this season is all about, being present with the past and our traditions and putting up a quiet, heartfelt resistance to how ugly modernity attempts to strip away the sacred from our hearts.
I can imagine medieval era children enjoying this song very much.
