@@LadyMoonCries Thank you! It's an Eastman MDO305 and I'm in love with it already. I've played mandolin, banjo, and bouzouki up until now and the octave mandolin feels like a hybrid of all of the things I like about all three!
love this piece!! the musicality behind those big full upstrokes between beats really gives it the feeling of soaring and rushing wind the title implies and i absolutely love the little hint at a ninth at 0:37 you can barely hear underneath the rest of the chord your compositions always have so much character and life to them!
The octave is vastly different from a mandolin which,being higher pitched doesn’t really adapt to open tuning. But maybe you’re talking about the all-body deodorant!
Great song and lovely playing style and chops. Very haunting and emotive. The pinky stretch on some of those chords had guitar gurl peeking thru! Well done!
