Although I'm NOT one who is looking to read negative comments, I would STILL like to know why this fellow musician has 7 dislikes on this peice of music. I freakin' LOVED IT!!!!! But I'd like to know what the rationale is behind those 7 who disliked it. I might learn something from their perspective. But it would also give me the opportunity to TEAR DOWN their rationale! I can understand (to a point) being CONSTRUCTIVELY critical of a beginner - so as not to discourage them. I can't play what this brother is playing. Can't even come close to anything like that. So, why would I NOT be inspired by his playing? Why would I NOT be accepting of his playing?
I didn't like or dislike this video, but personally this kind of playing is not my thing. I don't like his sound and the composition leaves me entirely cold. It's just a matter of taste don't worry about it, different people like different things and no 2 musical tastes are the same.
An advise: don't spend that much energy on what other people think about anything.
As you ask, I answer. The long rastaman hair, the play in the field, the tone, the composition that is quite simple and predictable, adding some effects like taping, slapping to make it a little more interesting, ... all of that is too much for me that make think about he wants to look beautiful (from outside and inside) instead of make feel something. For me everything (the video, the tone and the composition) is based on the player instead of the music and feelings. So because of that I don't even feel cold or neutral, I really don't like.
So your question is not really a good question because you ask for something rational, this is my taste, my feeling, not something rational at all.
