This video saved me. I had the trans apart 3 times. I was lining up the keys with the bug space on the ring. Not the groove space in the middle. I watched all of your videos on this trans. Thank you very much for showing such great detail.

Is the 1st/2nd hub symmetrical? It looks like it, but I saw a diagram indicating otherwise, but I can't tell the difference.

Where can I get replacement synchros with friction pads? I can't find any with the friction pads for my 2004 Mazda B2300.
Google M5OD Rebuild kit. You should find some options.

Are the syncronizer gears are universal or different to every make. I have mercedes w202 manual gear box.
They are vehicle specific. The synchronizers in this trans are typical but you will find variations in design and size.
Ive got a synchro assembly with the coil spring style, how could i assemble this?
Use petroleum jelly "Vaseline" to help hold the springs and inserts in place. Hope it helps.
