Im dead set on not taking any below $5 from now on. I live in the county and i usually only do 3 MAYBE 4 dashes an hour if lucky. To drive 15 me les round trip for 2.50 with no tip for McDonald's is insane
All of my ratings are near 100% and all I'm getting today for instance was 18 Mi to 20 me orders for literally four bucks I almost also want to accept it just so I can message the customer and ask what planet they came from😅😅 it's like it's the company and even the customers it's almost like they have so much nerve to expect some jerk to deliver 18 to 20 mi for $4 and it's only because these foreigners I call them, because I don't know where the hell they come from, they just keep taking up the market they keep flooding the schedule and US locals of our own areas cannot get any dash time at all and if we do it's what for like 2 hours? It's getting insane also I'm finding that I can only get 12:00 a.m. to let's say 7:00 a.m. and I'm like all of the freaking daytime shifts are now completely booked? It just doesn't make sense they need to start monitoring who is actually behind the wheel of these vehicles because it's getting out of hand anymore

Same but my ar is 79% and these are the only order I’ve received since I started. I didn’t know $7 to $9 were bad. I knew they weren’t good but when I get orders that are 4.00 a 9.00 once seems like a dream and all in all they are all terrible!! So they send them out anyways regardless of ar I guess.
All of these food delivery app companies could cut their "cut" by 75% and still be making millions of dollars. I don’t use any of these services often, unless on vacation, as I live in a very rural area and the nearest chain restaurant is at least 25 miles away. But from the outside looking in, I think it's time to call out the real antagonist in this storyline; the delivery app companies.
The real question is, why do they allow customers to treat drivers this way? Its unreal that customers out there say they tip if the service is good but then have it marked as leave at door full well knowing the gullible drivers who accept those orders aren't getting tipped. People who stand up for non tippers are non tippers themselves. Even if they lie and say "I tip my drivers well but they don't HAVE to tip its door dash that should be paying more. Everyone knows to tip their delivery drivers in the US... people pretending like this is some new concept.

Agree with the AR and c.r. I have to be top dasher in my market are I literally can't run. Even if I try to schedule. So my ar stays around 70 . It drops to 10 most of the time . Then hell week comes and when my ar starts climbing they send five r six bs runs in a row to drop the AR down again

Ran into a driver. Said he makes $10 an hour and he thought nothing was wrong with it. He seemed so proud! I was in Merrick, Long Island. I myself thought he was nuts but kept that to myself
I declined 83 orders today. In a 4 hour period I did not accept 1 order. Not a single order was within the criteria of $2 a mile. I have tried uber, turo and now door dash. Its just like a job no one makes money but the owner.
All they have to do to fix this is for customers who are constantly getting there orders declined, they have a rating as well and once it gets to a certain point they should have there account deactivated for wasting everyone’s time. To many broke people think these services aren’t a premium and that you shouldn’t have to tip.
My first 2 weeks with DoorDash were great! Then they had me going so far into other areas and throwing higher milage dashes. I'm learning though! I just have to stick to my guns.

Yeah and we're very frustrated here because our insurance is going up yet we have immigrants that can't get insurance and they're over here driving 😳. I'm not against immigrants by the way I am one myself. This is a shitshow and we have a problem with people not having insurance and we have a lot of car accident over here. That's why doordash think that they can treat us like s*** because those orders are taken by immigrants mainly Venezuelan. They Uber as well.
When a customer doesn't tip, they're basically saying, "screw you and bring me my food peasant." And when you accept those low-paying orders and get your small amount of money, your car is saying, "great, you made enough money to put back in my gas tank, you could've stayed home and still had the same amount of money in your pocket lol."

Every time my AR gets close to 70% (top dasher status) they send me multiple no tip insane miles orders. I'm talking $3.50 for 9.5 miles. They know what they're doing. They lower my AR by multiple points everyday after I start to get it up.
Since people in my area started using the hourly pay option, my AR increased from 15% to 60%. I swear, I feel the same thing. I won't compromise. Although I only get 10% of the bad orders I used to get, it really does seem like whenever I hit over 60%, then send me 4 orders back to back they KNOW I won't take. It's like they REFUSE to allow anyone with principles to reach 70% + Ehh, I should stop complaining. I used to need to decline 9 out of 10 orders. Now I accept over half of them WITHOUT compromising my pay per mile.
Starting to think the gamestop orders are just like a bonus, like they want us to steal them. I've never done it, but I've heard of people getting game consoles, and the pay is never worth it, like 15miles for 5$ usually.
Honestly I feel quite lucky. Have been able to sit in the “rich” area of my town not too far away and get $12 orders for only a couple mile drive. I have a 70% acceptance still because these rich people tip a lot. Which probably is another piece of advice, go where the wealthy people eat

I now watch the cherry pickers sitting at their hot spots 30 hours or more waiting to make the same I do. That's what's BS. @@Thekarateadult I think you’re confusing people who are too picky with those who know what are good orders. The people who have low percents often are in bigger markets with more garbage offers. I am in a medium sized market so I tend to get better offers, and I assume you get even better ones because of peak pay or other factors
Also, if an order is God awful; they will send it to me 1 or 2 more times and the rate for that order will increase much higher because nobody will take it; then I accept
Tip for you: try to stay area rich area or area has more tourist. Of course they will keep sending you bad orders BUT you will have more chances to receive more good orders plus your acceptance will build up slowly
I hear that! I can decline the same offer as much as 3 or 4 times some nights. Once I keep getting shitty Dashmart orders over and over towards the end of the night. That's when I know it's time to close the app and go home.

Some times I take them and it pays off. It says 4.25 and I rush as fast as I can and it ends up being 15 or more. It's all a gamble. My acceptance rate is at 78%. I'm making 200 a day.
They gotten really bad. My AR goes between 5% to 15% ALL THE time. I Have to decline several orders when I go online before anything worthwhile start showing up.
The higher your acceptance rate is the better. I’m at 90% acceptance rate, out of 10 orders I sometimes may get one that’s not really worth it but sometimes I still take it to keep my rate high because I get a lot of high paying orders with that rate.
I only accept a ping if I just happen to be gone over that side of town. I look at it like it's a coupon. You can't take this stuff seriously. Please show yourself some love.
I do doordash in Canberra Australia and yesterday i got a $5.65 order for 2.5 kms which is fair as i was right infront of the store. But when i went inside i was informed the restaurant staff delivered the order himseld because 2 dashers before me unassigned the order. Then i checked my app and it had 62 items to pick up😂. No wonder they unassigned.
In Washington state tipping dashers is a sign of weakness and dashers will mess with your order insane but true story most dashers out here come from rich families

Portland OR area but being at the top of the acceptance rate is a bunch of shizt. I am now at 2 percent and doing just as good as I was at 95 percent. Stay safe out there
The decline options are really good tho because doordash tends to adapt based on your reasoning, giving you better orders and a higher acceptance rate. Even though acceptance rate doesn’t matter much a higher one does have some small perks so if you can get that while making the same money it’s great
Yeah I get joke orders but piece of advice everyone, if you keep declining the small ones you’ll never get the really big ones also, it’s better to have more orders than amount of money cus at the end of the week you can just get an adjustment
We are working longer hours for the same money as half the time...its insane, GOPUFF is all over craigslist here in my city, I might try it out...I talked to a UBER EATS guy and he said its no better than doordash...I working all kinds of different shifts to see whats the best time to do this job
Those tip free orders get tossed over to the people who work hourly where the app pays per minute you’re on the job. I keep track every night and I’ll be lucky if ANY of those jobs have a tip on them. When you work the hourly option you can’t decline more than two orders per shift…but you’re also being financially incentivized to take your sweet time picking up and delivering orders. I would feel bad for taking so long to pick up orders…except that I know that virtually all the orders I get while working hourly didn’t tip. Especially when I look at the receipt and see the order had been sitting there for half an hour or more.

I live in the Tampa Bay and do a Uber eats and doordash no need to worry and yes I don't accept those joke orders. Plenty of orders in Pinellas county

i decline and got to 20% in 1 day... now is actually deativated ,,, and i am fighting it. its disgusting they want free labor

I turned down one of these low ball orders Saturday night and then received zero orders fron Doordash😢
I went through this all night Sat night.
I did only 6 DD orders all day today but made $52! UE I did 14 orders for $145!
Youd get a better tip of restaurants wernt double their food prices and DD adding a 50% tax on top of it all.
I always pay $5 tip by default and still get nervous they’ll not accept my order and just throw away my food
It's good to take 2 to 3 of those orders, either it be at the start, middle, sprinkled in or at the end. It's an algorithm

The higher your acceptance rate is the better. I’m at 90% acceptance rate, out of 10 orders I sometimes may get one that’s not really worth it but sometimes I still take it to keep my rate high because I get a lot of high paying orders with that rate.
It’s been that way for awhile. 2023 i am looking for another way to make money.
The app companies lowball on purpose because they make money no matter what, we carry almost all the expenses!

I only accept a ping if I just happen to be gone over that side of town. I look at it like it's a coupon. You can't take this stuff seriously. Please show yourself some love.
I do doordash in Canberra Australia and yesterday i got a $5.65 order for 2.5 kms which is fair as i was right infront of the store. But when i went inside i was informed the restaurant staff delivered the order himseld because 2 dashers before me unassigned the order. Then i checked my app and it had 62 items to pick up😂. No wonder they unassigned.
I went from 60% AR to 36% in under 1 hour.
In Washington state tipping dashers is a sign of weakness and dashers will mess with your order insane but true story most dashers out here come from rich families
I never declined.. I just let the time run out. I was at a steady 21 percent acceptance rate for months 😂
That's what I do too but my acceptance rating is still dropping. Sad on Door Dash's part
@@Blondie_1974 In my opinion.. the acceptance rating is pure garbage. I used to be between 85 and 95 percent for over a year and the majority of the orders were trash. My market is huge.. Portland OR area but being at the top of the acceptance rate is a bunch of shizt. I am now at 2 percent and doing just as good as I was at 95 percent. Stay safe out there

The decline options are really good tho because doordash tends to adapt based on your reasoning, giving you better orders and a higher acceptance rate. Even though acceptance rate doesn’t matter much a higher one does have some small perks so if you can get that while making the same money it’s great

Next time except and then unassign it say distance is too far. Your completion rate will go down, but it will help you recover your acceptance rate.
The easiest solution to this would be if they offer more stacked orders
All the new drivers that have no clue are accepting those offers 😅
Yeah I get joke orders but piece of advice everyone, if you keep declining the small ones you’ll never get the really big ones also, it’s better to have more orders than amount of money cus at the end of the week you can just get an adjustment

We are working longer hours for the same money as half the time...its insane, GOPUFF is all over craigslist here in my city, I might try it out...I talked to a UBER EATS guy and he said its no better than doordash...I working all kinds of different shifts to see whats the best time to do this job

DoorDash doesn’t pay enough for gas and mileage. That’s why I went back to my job as a nurse
I refuse them if it's less than a gallon of gas... Period
Those tip free orders get tossed over to the people who work hourly where the app pays per minute you’re on the job. I keep track every night and I’ll be lucky if ANY of those jobs have a tip on them.
When you work the hourly option you can’t decline more than two orders per shift…but you’re also being financially incentivized to take your sweet time picking up and delivering orders.
I would feel bad for taking so long to pick up orders…except that I know that virtually all the orders I get while working hourly didn’t tip. Especially when I look at the receipt and see the order had been sitting there for half an hour or more.
