Running the fridge off battery while boondocking is an excellent way to quickly deplete the battery. I'd be running the fridge off propane unless connected to shore power. Run the fridge on batter only while the vehicle is running.
"Right here - Right there" How many times do we need to hear these terms in such a short clip. The salesman is patronising, I half expected for him to say "This is the floor which you can use to stand on!"
Not a big fan of this layout - folding bed ? I didn't catch weather it was a 1- 3/4 or 1/2 ton requirement if its a 1/2 ton then not terrible. Artic Fox and Lance is just so far ahead of most of the campers out there, imo.
Idk if I'd trust it with a 1/2 ton for long hauls. By the time you fill the tanks and load it with gear you might find yourself with an overloaded truck. I'd probably ly go with a 3/4 ton for piece of mind.
Hey Ian! I see on Camp Lite's website they now have a 6.3 truck camper listed. Can you please do a video of this model? I am assuming it is new for 2018 since they do not have the weights listed yet. Thanks and keep up the great work!
I'm looking real hard at the nucamp Cirrus 720... seems to have this one beat. I have same truck but diesel btw. Not a fan of folding bed/fridge in bed... the wet bath in the Cirrus is phenomenal. Also, cartridge toilet is best I think.
Happy to see a camper with no wood. I had a coachman that rotted out around the windows and the bottom of the overhead fell out. I would never buy Coachman again. Bad company to deal with.
Wrong website . The website is actually camping world. Com ... it will redirect you .... took me a while to find it since north American rv comes up at first
It sounds like there's a Black Water flush but your specs say it doesn't have a tank which would imply it's a Cassette. Would it need to be manually emptied if it's at a campground and is it able to be used when boondocking?
Hey there! Our local specialists would be able to answer that question for you. We can get you the information for your nearest dealership, if you'd like! We would just need your zip code.
Bruce, unfortunately Camp Lite's are no longer made as they went out of business. They had a great product but due to high costs couldn't get the sales to sustain operations. Thanks for watching and sorry I couldn't help you further! -Ian Baker
You know, I'm actually glad you brought this up as that is an excellent point. If you don't have shore power or a generator...you won't be baking anything! Thanks for watching and for the great comment! -Ian Baker
do you have any truck campers that would fit in a 5.5’ bed ? I have a Toyota Tundra crewman and i am trying to find a camper for. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
It's really great workmanship to the comp. I love to run into one that might be good price that I can afford I'm open for sponsorship it would be nice .... Mine is a 1986 pop up Palomino no bath just port o patty.... Thanks for the video Renè
Hey Charles, sorry about not being able to find this product. Unfortunately Camp Lite went out of business last year and this particular truck camper is no longer made. Camping World does still offer several other truck camper manufacturers such as Lance, Arctic Fox, Wolf Creek, Cirrus and Travel Lite. Thanks for watching and happy RV hunting! -Ian Baker
Hey Alfonso, Ian Baker here. Unfortunately it will not. Most truck campers are too heavy for a midsize truck and that is the case here. Max payload on a 2022 Tacoma is under 1,700 lbs and this Truck Camper weighs over 1,800 before you add any water or gear. My personal advice if you're looking for a truck camper is to get at least a 3/4 ton truck and preferably a 1 ton. Thanks for watching and for the question! -Ian Baker
Hey Elizabeth, great observation! However if you take a look at the specs at 14 seconds, you can see in small print underneath "Gray Water Capacity" that it states that this model has a shared gray and black tank. Hopefully that clears things up and thanks for watching! -Ian Baker
Great promo video. I really like this camper with one exception. To me, the table is a bit cheesy. But, that's the manufacture and not your dealership. I think you need a manager to negotiate with your boss for a raise for doing these videos.
Abundently Clear I can't decide between a truck camper, a 4 by 4 van or a 4 by 4 camper. only thing that stops me from this is there is no way to access the cab and as a 2oman who travels alone I worry about not being able to get out of dodge when things get scary
Nick, that is a great question! The 2018.5 models (Or the late 2018 models) will have the new graphics. We will actually be reviewing and posting the models with the new graphics, fiberglass & azdel exterior and new wood cabinets in the next week or so. So stay tuned!
Chris, unfortunately Livin' Lite (which is who manufactured Camp Lite) went out of business so we are unable to sell them. They had a great product but couldn't get the sales required to stay in business. Thanks for watching and for the question! -Ian Baker
Ian Baker does a good job, however, he does the same annoying thing that the other salesman do, he opens every drawer wasting time and boring us. we know what drawers and cupboards look like, they are empty, you nor your cameraman didn't show how the bed works or looks, you passed it by the way only you all would know. not clear at all, since the bed is the most important item on the checklist you should spend more time to clarify how it works and spend less time showing us an empty drawer. I hope not to be of any offence.
Douglas, no offense whatsoever and I appreciate the feedback. I've actually gotten told this quite a few times recently and I am now making the appropriate changes. For any new videos I'm trying to only open larger than normal or deceiving storage spaces in an effort to speed up the video and not waste time. I would do another video showing the bed in the Camp Lite however unfortunately this company is no longer around. While it was a quality product, Livin Lite couldn't sell enough RV's to stay afloat. Thanks for watching and for the feedback Doug! -Ian Baker
Hi Darlene, thanks for your interest. This particular truck camper is not in stock at the moment as this video is from 2017. However, you can view our available truck campers here: rv.campingworld.com/rvs/truck-camper/used
To the people yelling about prices.. if you've done any research on rv's you'll know the price range of campers and can estimate it yourself easily.. if you can't you've not yet done anywhere near enough research yet.
Hey it's the guy from those scam ads on TH-cam pretending to own exotic cars. Preaching success but never giving any real information.now I know he sells rvs so it makes much more sense that he is even worse than I thought.
Why does Ian speak like a baptist preacher with emphasis on every other word?!? It's very annoying! Love your products but listening to him speak is so VERY irritating!!
Could you please recommend the best truck for a 2013 Livin' Lite / Camp Lite CLTC10, 2,190 lbs/ slide in truck camper? Brochure requires a 3/4 ton (or higher) 8 foot bed and I’m partial to dually as the back end squats with full tanks. I would very much appreciate any help from anyone in the know. Thank you so much.

I been wondering about the shift to aluminum skin on campers. I want to know if anyone has taken one thru an Oklahoma/Texas hail storm?

You need to tell the people what size truck is required for the specific camper.(ie) 1/2 ton,2500,3500
it showed a sign with the weight of camper in the video......1/2 truck would work fine.....less than 2k pounds...

Cabover bed space could be larger with more interior headroom height and sky window.
Otherwise, excellent.
