If my memory serves me, I believe that that solitary wandering walker in that scene that you're referencing is being played by TWD spec-fx producer, Greg Nicotero
I love that everyone who saw this on The Walking Dead felt the need to find it, suits the Shane and Rick car scene so perfectly such an awesome song !!!
I am nothing without pretend I know my faults Can't live with them I am nothing without a man I know my thoughts But I can't hide them Must you keep my baby teeth In the bedside table with my jewelry You still sleep in the bed with me My jewelry, and my baby teeth I don't need another friend When most of them I can barely keep up with them Perfectly able to hold my own hand But I still can't kiss my own neck I wanted yo give you everything But I still stand in awe of superficial things I wanted to love you like My mother's mother's mother's did Civilian, civilian
I know I'm a bit late, just heard this song recently (not The Walking Dead). Every few years a song comes along that blows me away, and I play the absolute shit out of it. This is amazing!
One of the most exciting things that could happen is to discover a new artist that you instantly fall in love with... Its like a new chapter in my life had just started. And how great it is when the song that you have just discovered is saying exactly what you are feeling exactly. BEAUTIFUL SONG
Watching her sing this song, she looks so heavy, tired and worn. The lyrics and feeling I sense are of someone who is deeply exhausted and possibly lonely from only being able to rely on themselves their whole life and never able to trust or depend on anyone. I know these people and my heart breaks for them. I used to be one until I learned that I could give it all of my cares to God. I laid it all at His feet and a great burden was lifted. This used to be my favorite song and my heart was so broken. Now I am healed by Jesus and my heart only breaks for the ones I love who I think of when I see her sing this song. Still a beautiful song.
Unbelivable and incredible song and perfomance. She's... well, like a princess? Since I heard this song has passed two or three years, years, and this song is still acts on the soul, as the spring sun to sprout.

This song appears in chapter "The Walking Dead 2x10 - 18 Miles Out" at the end when Shane and Rick travel by car. Shane looks at the field and sees a zombie. It is a moment of reflection Shane. The song is in the background. The photograph of the end of this episode is excellent! From Argentina!
when i was watching the walking dead episode "18 miles out" and the episode was ending while sein watching was watching the alone zombie walking in the field i heard that song and froze..absolutely brilliant.. For only that song i loved that episode and loved that song too.. The perfect match song and scene...
I used to listen this great song before i watch The walking dead. Can you imagine how was i glad to hear it in the end of one episod of the second season?
@veronyka83 Yo quedé enamorado de esa toma final en movimiento del "walker" tambaleándose entre los pastizales mientras este temazo sonaba... Coincido con vos.
Wow unreal. Caught this off of Safety Not Guaranteed which i thought was amazing and have been all about Wye Oak since, but didn't realize she was the only guitar player on this (and other) songs. Super talented great voice but holy shit awesome guitarist too!!
This such a beautiful song and her voice is incredible. It's funny, this song makes me cry about a group of characters on a tv show. Especially after the last episode. Dang it Walking Dead, I wish I could quit you.
I heared this song from the Walking Dead like many other people but I srsly cant describe the feeling I got hearing this song the whole serie got me so emotional and connected to the whole story & the characters that I got tears .. xd
There's something so powerful about the lyric " I wanted to give you everything but I still stand in awe of superficial things " my favorite part.
Shane sitting in the car
Looking out of window at a walker
Life is good
One of the most beautiful scenes in TWD ♥️
If my memory serves me, I believe that that solitary wandering walker in that scene that you're referencing is being played by TWD spec-fx producer, Greg Nicotero
I love this version the most. It just sounds so real and raw.
Raw as fuck man, Jenn is amazing here!
My favorite version as well!
The live version that they did for a radio station (KTE or something I think), was pretty solid.
I love that everyone who saw this on The Walking Dead felt the need to find it, suits the Shane and Rick car scene so perfectly such an awesome song !!!
'' I'm perfectly able to hold my own hand, but I stil can't kiss my own neck '' genius !!
I'm just sitting with my guitar and trying to copy you, girl. Your soul...burning in my like thousand emotions. Unspeakable. Just listenable...
I see that many people have the same problem as me. They can't stop listening to this song.
That's a problem?
muscularmouse yes
4 years later and i'm still here listening to it like.. at least every day.
El tiempo cambia

How do you get "Must you keep..." from "I still keep..."?
Ceren Yaren some versions are different, she probably just copied and pasted the lyrics from another website. Thanks for posting lyrics though❤
Oooo baba
@@garzascreek she does say, must you keep!...

I've been trying to learn this on guitar but getting the complexity and rhythm that she shows here is so so difficult. She's really talented!
When you play try not to think about it too much just flow with the beat of the song and you wont mess up as much
Ha I’ve seen your cover I’ve listened to it a couple of times it was great
@@matthewlachance3362 lol it's a small world

Her voice is so cool.. awesome song..
I think so
such a universal feeling but not many can say as honnestly as she does.

This band is from my home-state of Maryland -- so proud of them and their unique sound!!
Unbelivable and incredible song and perfomance.

That show was probably the walking dead

This is my new favorite song. Everything about it is perfectly haunting.
Genius. These guys are great. Nice to see her doing it alone. Great looking black and white, too! Lovely. :)
Funny everyone attributes this to the WD but was also in another amazing Series, Longmore, S4 E10. An amazing song and Series!
Thanks Jen - doubt you'll read this. Saved me plenty of times, anyway, here's to Wye Oak. Musicians that will always have a home in my heart
It was part of the soundtrack of "Safety Not Guaranteed". Lovely film, wonderful music...
I like Wye Oak too, but the series introduced me to her music. For that i am pretty happy.
