I met Jen, and she was unbelievably kind. She signed a Roberto Bolaño book for my sister and I. I lost my sister 2 years ago, but this show was the last high point of her life. Thank you Wye Oak for that. Truly, with all of my heart, thank you.

There's this point in the song, about 2:40 minutes in, where after all this emotional build-up the song is suddenly hanging on for dear life, for a few seconds it's not clear if it completely disintegrates or if it somehow finds its way to a miraculous, glorious ending. These are the moments in music I live for. Thank you for this one.
I dig the struggle as well. It mirrors a human life. And once again, the "art reflecting life /life reflecting art" reflection is presented... Very profundo!
Amen brother. When it’s a good song & the artist puts it all out there and they pull off getting the song to come back from that precipice…we’ll, it becomes a great song. Too few are able to stop it from jumping off that proverbial cliff.

A perfect song that sucks you in subtly, then grabs hold of you and lifts you up with its rising energy, building to a perfect breath taking climax that makes your soul soar. So wonderful and rare.
There are songs that you hear a few notes and your ears perk up and you just know you are about to hear a song that is gonna hit you in your feels good this is that song.
As someone who loves and plays music....I know that tastes evolve when it comes to song writing....but I miss Jennifer playing guitar on their newer stuff. This was the Wye Oak I loved.
Found this band of two without help from any television. Just cruising around Spotify a few years ago and stumbled on them. I think they’re from Maryland. Real good music.
One of my top songs of all time. I listened to 5 different recordings in a row last night and got goosebumps on all of them, I can't think of a single other song in all of history that does that, not even Kate Bush. I didn't know these songs were being revisited with new videos - I had to laugh when I realized that the video was new, *solely* from noticing Jenn's Sylvan Esso tattoo

@@Indyawillis85would it have been easier if rick gave Shane and Daryl a bit of leighway to torture that puke.
