Thank you for this review Kensei. I've waited for a review on this lens to see how it performs for street photos. I was blown away by its sharpness on close up shots
I'm grabbing this as my A7C 28-60mm kit-lens replacement and (with some trade-in credit) using it as an affordable opening to figure out what focal lengths in the 20-40 range to commit to a quality prime for. The 28-60 already traded out the tele end for compactness and I didn't miss it, because like you say - when I want a 'detail' shot I really want to exaggerate that 'punch in' effect with a 150mm + tele (or to go put my wideangle 10cm from the subject). I'm not worried about the long end because there's tons of options I can pickup down the road for when I know I will want longer reach. 50-85-135 primes, or a fast 50 and a 70-200, or the Tamron 35-150 2-2.8 and 150-500, or a hilarious 2-lens kit of the 20-40 and the Sigma 50-500.
