  • When opening Microsoft Authenticator for the first time after downloading it from the App Store, it prompts the user to accept sharing diagnostics with Microsoft. This video shows that the app starts sending diagnostic data before accepting the privacy statement or even interacting with the prompt.
The user must tap on the "Accept" button to start using the app. When declining, the prompt shows a message informing the user that Microsoft needs to collect diagnostic data in order to keep Authenticator secure and up to date. 😵‍💫
Microsoft Authenticator for iOS Version 6.7.5 was used in the video.

It looks like you can't even use the app without accepting their analytics. Is this even legal?

Which app are you using to tap the payload data being sent?
