CLUB CHAIRMAN WILL PUT HIS LATEST TOY TOGETHER IN THE PITS AND RANGE TESTED HER AND ALSO THE C OF G WAS CHECKED AND THE BLOODY GREAT HOUSE BRICK (SHOULD BE PAINTED RED) A 6 CELL 10,000 MAH LIPO WAS POSITIONED INSIDE THE FUZZ, (GIVES HIM OVER 25 MINS OR MORE FLYING)
AND AS SHE WAS WALKED OUT FOR THE BIG MOMENT BY WILL HIMSELF - WHAT HAPPENS ?
HE ONLY TRIPS OVER HIS BLOODY BOOT LACES THAT HE HADNT DONE UP - LAUGHED - WE PISSED OURSELVES - TIMELESS CLASSIC FUN IS EXACTLY WHAT OUR CLUB IS ALL ABOUT - YES WE HAVE SAFETY RULES BUT WE ARE RELAXED AND DAMN WELL ENJOY OURSELVES,

This is the best Fox 3000 video I have seen. Now I can see what my plane can do under power. I hardly ever fly under power. Most of my flying is slope soaring. I rarely have flights less than an hour. With a 5000mah 6s lipo I can have flights of more than 4 hours. Looks a great bunch of guys you have over there. GREAT VIDEO!!
many thanks ken, yes we do have a laugh and enjoy ourselves at the club, there was no lift on that day so deano just flew her on the motor, shes very maneuverable for her size !

It's not too often you see a glider do a roll and then fly inverted. LOL Great flight. Should be able to fly for hours with that battery. Ron

Looks like a very nice sailplane. Good to see that it can handle mild aerobatics. What really interests me is how it might take to thermals. Might be a good thing to see on another video.

Biggest pack I've put in mine is a 7000, but I also run a separate smaller 2S battery for the receiver and servos.
Ive got a 16000mah battery to go in my skyhunter, though I think it might be even better off suited in this, glides like an ice skater - love that sound !

I don't know if you get to do much slope-soaring, but that's the kind of glider that 'racing enthusiasts' used to fly in a 50+mph gale after bolting 12 lbs of lead between the wings. No, I'm not kidding. Twelve pounds of lead.
I've no idea what speeds they achieved, but without flaps or spoilers they were terrifying things to fly and almost impossible to land (in one piece). Some peeps raced them round pylons; the wearing of motorbike crash helmets was recommended. ;-)
Definetly not the foam ones. 12pounds of lead an the fuselage leaves the wings

Love the video! I am a noobie and most likely will have to teach myself how to fly. Love the video, but this glider is probably not for me....Can you recommend a suitable glider to start with?

Ever tried thermaling with it? Wonder if it s too heavy or if it s doable.... Really can't make a choice between this one and the MPX Lentus
yes it has thermal-ed since making this video - not a brilliant model as you would expect but it stayed up for around 20 mins (with the occasional burst of power)
