I think someone is deleting the comments here. There must be many more. I am old and I know how many people love Bassem Youssef (Cat Steven). Many loved him in 60 and 70s. Not only his voice and music is magical, but so are his words and the truthfulness about the current events...Just hear the World Court decision on genocide. The world is laughing at Israel's mockery. I am close to my 80s and I love his talents. But more importantly his bravery in expressing the truth. I am sure he also like the Israelis people to live in peace, as I do. But not under an apartheid regime.

Their strength and independence is contrary to US foreign policy, which uses Israel as a tool to shape the region, and which also thrives on war and chaos because it increases profits. It's just another sideshow. It is beyond sadness.
