    Thank you so much, I'm currently studying automotive mechanics here in my country and today I have an exam regarding this little dude. Even though I already tore down both kinds of starter motors, seeing one that was in bad shape brought back to full operation gave me quite a lot of insight. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and have a splendid day, good sir!

    Thanks so much! This helped me get a new drive clutch on with the collar and everything facing the right way. Mine was all torn up, and couldn't tell how it was supposed to go.

    Excellent video! The repair manual made this look so much more complicated. Also I was wondering how to get the brushes out of the way to resemble.

    Great video, very informative. You should have more subs than that.

      He has more subs than Jake, and that's all that matters.

    I wish it were possible to still buy a battery charger without all the safety features on it.
    I don't know if they were a franchise, like NAPA, but, I think I've seen an Auto Electric Rebuilders store in just about every city in the N.East of the United States I've ever lived in.

      Yeah, that charger was something inherited from my father-in-law and better than anything I've seen for sale in decades.

      It's sad that all the good stuff is only available at garage sales these days.

      I love buying old shop manuals because the used to cover rebuilding everything.

    Hi there thank you very much for your clear explanation and one question I would like to ask you is how you can replace the winding inside the motor body.
    Regards,

      They are just held in with the large screws going through the shell, so you should be able to remove those to pull out the winding

    Auto Electric? There used to be a place named that in my hometown!

    What kind of solvent were you cleaning the housing with?

    • @YoshimoshiGarage
      @YoshimoshiGarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I just used my solvent tank. It's got a petroleum-based solvent that I bought from Tractor Supply by the 5-gallon can
