My mom got a certified 2022 Navigator Black Label a couple months ago with 28k miles. Blue on blue. Absolutely loving it. And saved about 30k by getting a used current gen model

I don’t think it is a bad interior but I hate the touchscreen. This is not because of the size but how it looks. Cadillac was able to put a massive screen in and still have it fit into the interior well. This screen looks like an iPad was glued to the dash. I have seen it in person and there is about a half an inch gap between the back of the screen and the top of the dash. I think it would be a pain to clean.

If April was near the beach she'd use the numbers every time. Same for water parks, theme parks, ect. Hide the keys in the car and lock it up, then use the numbers to get back in.

(What Detroit represents, not the actual city) I can park my Navigator at the beach leaving my keys in center console and enjoy the Florida sun (in Dec/Jan - eat your heart out hoovties!) The key pad means you can lock the vehicle with the keys in it (under the mat for a mechanic) or in the center console if, for example, you go swimming and won't have any secure place to put your keys - sure beats stuffing your keys in your shoe. Also really handy when you go out to the car to get something and you left you keys in your purse in the house. All the plastic engine covers do is give the mice a nice place to build nests. 2024 Escalade, equivalent model 11/16 mpg 2024 Lincoln Navigator BL 16/22 mpg according to the EPA... Cadillac = 432 miles range on highway / Lincoln = 519 miles range on highway.
I loved the keypad on my ‘92 Ford SHO, but that was back in the day before key transponders and the extremely low possibility of locking your keys in the car. It was also fun to memorize a friends code when helping them loading something then wig them out when you could open their car later on.
Very nice, I love Lincoln's. My favorite that I owned was a 78 Lincoln Continental, then my 1989 Towncar and I have my daily 2002 Towncar (238,000 miles and going strong). My favorite overall look were the mid sixties suicide door Lincoln's my Grandparents neighbor had two of them one white and one black. As a kid I was in love with those cars. Thanks for another great video.

I live in the UK, but it seems to me that the American car makers are back. The fact that you can get big luxury well-made vehicles like this with a reliable V6 or V8, the likes of the new Corvette in every imaginable configuration, a minimalist highly-efficient Tesla or a more old-school luxury Rivian, as well as your GM, Ford, Mopar any way you like it, why would you buy European, Japanese, or Korean, let alone Chinese? When I worked in America in the mid-90s, I wanted a slice of the American dream. At that time you could get a pony car from approx. 14 grand with a V6. IIRC, a Camaro V6 with T-tops was $14,600. That was about half the price of the cheapest equivalent import. Of course, back then almost everyone drove American, especially in Michigan where I lived, and to Americans a V6 pony car was nothing special. But, to me, it was a slice of the American dream. And it's really not a bad thing that you're driving a popular model. I've learned that unless you drive a truly rare car, when driving you tend to notice other examples of whatever you're driving all the time. Here in the UK, most people desire a German car -- an Audi, BMW, or Mercedes -- or a Land Rover/Range Rover. And the fact that many can afford the monthly payments means that you see them everywhere. They are not rare, yet people still desire them. Here in London, and a few other parts of the country, super cars are also quite commonplace. They are not a rare sight like they once were, yet people still desire them. Consequently, rarity does not equate to desirability -- there are many rare cars that are rare because they're undesirable -- and demonstrably, desirability does not equate to rarity. When in America, buy American! Long live the American car industry! I know the industry is in trouble, but if it gets back to offering what the market wants, not what 'central planners' want it to offer, the industry will regain its power, and the people will regain their power, too.

Every vehicle should have the key pad on the door like Lincoln does. Once you have it and use it, you will understand! The Navigator doesn't get included in rap music nor on the red carpet or valet lanes like the Slade but for luxury its the better of the two. Now they need to put the Raptor R motor in it for a hot rod Lincoln version. Could even call it the Navigator HRV !!
I use my keypad daily. My wife usually has the key in her purse when I drive. When we get out you can touch the bottom two numbers on yhe keypad and it locks. FYI if you are holding the key you only have to touch the handles to lock.
I absolutely love how Lincoln didn't fall into the trap that other luxury automakers did with regards to the controls for things like climate control, audio volume, and others you'll use all the time while driving. A screen looks cleaner but buttons are more luxurious IMO. The one thing a luxury vehicle needs to do is make driving as clam, relaxing, and effortless as possible. It's extremely easy for the buttons to become muscle memory after only a short time owning a vehicle which makes using those controls much less stressful than in cars that integrate them into the main display.
The key-less window sill code pad door unlocks are great for when you don't want to take your keys like when you are going to the beach...or if you lock yourself out...no? Lincoln Navigator is looking good...and rub you long time too eh Hoovie? LOL How is the knee healing up April?
There's obviously a very small market of folks that want to buy this type of vehicle. It's hard to imagine too many folks looking to spend over 100k on their vehicle with housing costs so high. But, it's even harder to imagine why anyone would prefer a Cybertruck over one of these. Unless you never drive any significant distance, or tow anything, and live in a very warm climate.
People who spend this much money on a luxury SUV are the same people spending $1000+ on a Hermes/Fendi handbag. They aren't buying a Lincoln or Hyundai. Its about the brand and despite the opinions of traditional gearheads, Tesla is a very strong brand.
@@rsplines12 Yes, many folks make poor decisions based on style choice, and obviously there's the few folks that can afford to lose those funds. Tesla is currently a strong brand, but the rest of the market is catching up rapidly...
I've got an X & take it over big ole suv. Too big for me. Don't really care bout the lux either. Lincoln is nice, but liked grand wagoneer better as far as lux (but it's got it's own issues).
@@rsplines12 There's at least one of these where I live. They weigh 7000lbs and are the size of a Tacoma. Looking at one go by yesterday, I got a good look down the side of it, and it had sooo many warps in it you would think it had been poorly repaired a bunch of times. That's not going to impress people spending that kind of money...
The Navigator is really nice. Got to ride in one recently and it brought back good memories of the cars my grandparents had in the late 70s and early 80s. That is not a bad thing and the Navigator is miles beyond those cars in power and handling (for a car the size of my first apartment).
I am 6’6” and need a good amount of room. I rented a 2024 Navigator recently and it is a great experience. I would own one if not the sticker price. own three other Lincoln models but they are older models and do not have the 2024 technology. I don’t discriminate I have Acura and Toyota and two Tahoes. Navigator would be a great road trip vehicle.
To each their own. The Ecoboost uses more fuel, it's louder, and is ok in towing but it's like using any V6 pickup with a higher capacity. I'm such with the V8 on the fuel economy benefit alone.
I love the Ford keypad on the door. I use it many times per day. I wish my Chrysler Pacifica also had it. But it doesn’t so I use the Chrysler phone App.
The other consideration for buying an SUV over a sedan is that it's a lot harder to get down into the sedan as you get older. As for the cigarette lighter: radar detectors, dash cameras, etc usually come with that style power cord.
I rented a navigator in 2016, and the interior was great but the engine was garbage. Was the ecoboost and doing highway driving felt overtaxed by the weight. Gas mileage was no better than my 2005 v8 pickup
Always enjoy April's garage. A Saturday treat. I'd like to see her continuing to review cars. The banter with her and Hoovie is quite entertaining and enjoyable

20k of the Cybertruck was to be a beta tester. Another 20k was for the unnecessary stainless body. 60k is more in line with where the Cybertruck should be.
IMO, the coolness of the Cybertruck is its design. I agree the stainless body is unnecessary, but still somewhat cool. Stainless could have been standard on the top model only, and an option on lower spec models. And, let's face it, you could achieve a similar space age look with paint, which would have dramatically reduced development and tooling costs. It's design should be inexpensive to make, but the stainless steel construction has worked against the design simplicity. The added weight has also compromised its efficiency and range. I also think the OTT power is unnecessary. If you could buy a Cybertruck with impressive but not OTT power from 40 grand, like originally promised, even without the ss body, IMO it would sell like hot cakes, and would be a real market disruptor. Unfortunately, a lot of the Cybertruck's wow factor has been eroded by showing it five years before producing it. Personally, I'm a fan of the design, but not of the implementation. The end product does not live up to the promise. And IMO, Tesla when realizing it could not deliver the promise, prioritized the wrong things, like the ss body.
@@nigel.w I’m a fan of the tech, the design is opinion. But that stainless is a massive expense. Not due to material cost but because of the tooling needed to make it work. So it makes zero sense on any level. If you took everything in the cybertruck and built it with the Rivian or Ford body style, it could have been done for 55-60k. I would also point out that the Tesla model of ripping off early adopters then dropping the price when sales dip, is idiotic. They did this with the 3 and Y and people to this day think they are overpriced even though they aren’t far off from a well equipped Camry or RAV4. But they can’t price it competitively because they can’t build them fast enough due to Elons hubris, demanding this design and material be used, engineering be damned.
All true. I'm a fan of tesla( for other people). I plan to get a low milage 2019 ford expedition limited soon. Can't stand the new ipad dashes all companies are putting on vehicles. They will fail eventually and it will be very expensive to fix. Modern vehicles are now designed to be disposable.

Looking at one go by yesterday, I got a good look down the side of it, and it had sooo many warps in it you would think it had been poorly repaired a bunch of times.
That's not going to impress people spending that kind of money...
LOvE THE REVIEW!!
Still think the Santa Fe for 46k$ may be a better choice for the price for most of us.
We use the keypad on our ford products all the time when we are at the lake.
So are you going to review the full blown Grand Wagoneer as well??
Tyler - "Anybody whats to come with any other product to indorse" I was waiting for an Adam & Eve ad
The Navigator is really nice. Got to ride in one recently and it brought back good memories of the cars my grandparents had in the late 70s and early 80s. That is not a bad thing and the Navigator is miles beyond those cars in power and handling (for a car the size of my first apartment).
What about reliability?
I have a 13 ford fusion se with 201k on it and I love having the keyless entry on the door
But $113k? Nope! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
I always use the keypad in my f150 when I don’t have the keys around
My Cadillac has a button on the door handle as long as you have the remote,I like that..one button!
Lighter is a handy thing in a car and its classic.good on them!
Don’t give up April!
This comment is one comma away from a totally different meaning 😂
I love my number pad on the door , it’s so nice to go work out without my keys
Every vehicle should have keypad entry. So handy in so many situations.
I would miss the door code thing if I didn't have it. Use it all the time.
I use my keypad constantly! One less thing to grab when you're hopping in and out of the car.
April looking for the cops at the end 😂🤣 I assume it’s fast
She probably knows them all.. lol
The Ford keypad is a legacy, heritage Ford feature and cannot be questioned. It looks a bit weird but it gets the job done...kind of like a Snickers.
The keyless entry from Ford is amazing, even if you have a smart key
Hoovie should buy that for April as a wedding gift!
Hoovie is Hoovie, he’ll buy her a 20 yr old cheapest in the country Hoovie that spends months at the Wizard
If money's no object, there is no question. This one.
I took off my engine cover on my Impala because mice like to build homes under them and cause damage :)
I have one, and they are everything! Best car I’ve ever owned.
To each their own. The Ecoboost uses more fuel, it's louder, and is ok in towing but it's like using any V6 pickup with a higher capacity. I'm such with the V8 on the fuel economy benefit alone.
I use the keypad everyday… perhaps one of the greatest technological advancements in the automotive industry that hasn’t gotten long in the tooth.
Can you get the 5.0? Techs like that engine.
Unfortunately you can't (which is a shame).
03:55 I use my keypad all the time and would not own a vehicle with out it, you can lock the keys in it at the beach, hiking, airport, on and on...
My father loves the number pad on his ford, comes in handy for all sorts of things.
I rented a navigator in 2016, and the interior was great but the engine was garbage. Was the ecoboost and doing highway driving felt overtaxed by the weight. Gas mileage was no better than my 2005 v8 pickup
Tyler, is that an Epiphone drednought over on the side wall? we need to talk about guitars sometime
The pad on ford products is THE BEST!
Always enjoy April's garage. A Saturday treat. I'd like to see her continuing to review cars. The banter with her and Hoovie is quite entertaining and enjoyable
I use the keypad on mine all the time.
Get April the Lincoln and you keep the Caddy!
Thank you very much! Liked, subscribed and shared. My absolute favorite TH-cam channel by far.
Lincoln that wants to be RR Culinan... The luxury is there, the price is there... but not sure
it is a ghetto rich suv.. too much bling inside...
better car than the Rolls.
as much as I love RR, Cullinan is way overpriced turd
I think the number pad is a great idea.
Quick piece of motor city trivia both Cadillac and Lincoln were both started by Henry Leland and both companies are related to Henry Ford
We need another car trek you Tavarish and Ed need to get back together and get another car trek going come on give the people what they want.. I commented on Ed's video I commented on Tavarishs video I'm going to keep commenting on videos until we get another car trek series I'm 37 I haven't enjoyed the car series like that since Top Gear was around with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond and James May those were the best years ever and that's what you guys remind me of.
What is with the massager ban on hoover?
it's just a joke...a very unfunny one at that.
I might buy one of these, but, I'll wait until it's on the repo lot in a little while.
I use the side buttons all the time if you don't have your keys and you want to grab something quick. Or you have something In your hands and your keys are in the wrong pocket.
But they can’t price it competitively because they can’t build them fast enough due to Elons hubris, demanding this design and material be used, engineering be damned.
for 100k this Lincoln and the Escalade blow the cybertruck into the weeds.
The cybertruck is a bad gimmick vehicle, nothing more
All true. I'm a fan of tesla( for other people). I plan to get a low milage 2019 ford expedition limited soon. Can't stand the new ipad dashes all companies are putting on vehicles. They will fail eventually and it will be very expensive to fix. Modern vehicles are now designed to be disposable.
@@DK-jd8bj Actually the screens for Tesla are made by LG and are cheap and easy to replace. About $400, two bolts, and one quick disconnect harness is all thats needed.
