    I really enjoy her tutorials. A lot of people complain about them being too fast but I like that they are not 40 to 50 minute long videos. You can watch them once through to get the general idea and then go back and watch section by section and pause when you need to

    This is one of the best videos I've found so far. Those of you who are confused, 1 strand of yarn = 1 skein, 2 strands = 2 skeins. To those who think she is instructing too fast or any other complaint of her speed -- if I recall correctly, youtube allows you to pause/rewind/fast forward and you can even watch a different video of you choosing. We are vey lucky to be able to share our gifts and talents with others. There are MANY awful instructional videos out on the web; however, the people that work hard and post them do it to be helpful to fellow youtubers and not to hear your ugly words. Kindness will get you much further in your lifetime than any amount of ugly and unkind words will. One day we will have a world of gratitude, appreciation, and joy.

    Thank you sooo much for the instruction. I just got a loom last week and the instructions it came with were terrible. These are easy to follow and it's a much less tedious stitch. I managed to knit my 12ft scarf in time for comic con! It's weekend. So thrilled!

    One of two helpful videos I've found. Much appreciated. Everyone gets a little tongue tied, but it was more than obvious what you meant. My 8-year-old thanks you, also, as she is making scarves as gifts for Christmas this year. You've made it easy for her to do.

    Looms are used because although they don't have the ability to do quite as many things as needle knitting (they can do a lot though), they are much simpler to learn and knit. Normal knitting cast-on, stitches, and cast-off is harder because you have to count your stitches each row, it takes longer (on projects like hats, booties, etc), and is a little more complicated with the finishing/starting. They both have their advantages and disadvantages (I've done both), but I personally peter looms! :)

    I've watched a few of these tutorials and yours is actually the most clear I've seen yet.
    Maybe it's my perspective as a guy, but she's much clearer than many videos and she shows all steps, and keeps on point so you don't get confused or distracted.

      maybe a clear description but the most left hands with nails and pick her yarn so much backward for often loose her yarn off the pegs! seriously?! and she doesn't use a straw as pencils instead her finger for loom the yarn over the pegs so its ease the process.

    Great video! If it's okay, I'd like to share a hack I found. If you're using 2 or more strands of yarn, run them through an empty Bic pen tube first. It acts as a stylus and gives you better control of the yarn as you're looping.

    For the end pegs, you are simply going to E-wrap like the other. It is a little more awkward to work with. You don't have yo use the end pegs when knitting, you can omit those too. I hope I helped you! Check out our video How to Knit Hats on Long Looms for more tips.

    When you 1st wrapped around the center peg to push everything down,I got confused(I have ADD sorry-ur instructions & this video are great tho). Did u wrap that twice,or do we do that just 1 time? I hate to ask,I just can't tell 4 sure after rewatching that part..

  • @caringcaps
    @caringcaps  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I used 2 strands of yarn, but only because the yarn weight I was using was a 4. If you use bulky yarn, I suggest just 1 strand.

      When u start ur 1st row take a long piece of yarn n lay it across on the top of the 1st row then go head n finish ur project n when ur done u will crochet the line that have the piece of yarn laying on top of n when u finish crocheting that the scarf ends well look alike

    Do you mean the knitting becomes loose once you knit that first row? Does the yarn fall out? (If so, try leaving a longer tail when you begin and utilizing tension) I hope I helped!

    QUESTION: you use the center peg on one side but not the other. is there a reason? are you "yarning over it" like you do with all the other pegs? I have been wrapping and yarning over the center peg on the right side like I think you are doing in your video, but it seems that the left and right sides of my scarf are very very different looking.
