How to Beginner Cast on Zig Zag Cast on Stitch for Loom Knitting

- This fun loom knit stitch is called the Zig Zag Stitch. Wrapping back and forth sequentially down the loom. The Zig Zag changes directions as you make each row. This is similar to the duplicate zig zag but done differently.

Been loom knitting for years. Glad to see it's making a comeback :) Just a little tip for those who don't like to use a pen as a feeder, McDonald's straws work really well too and they are nice and wide and can be cut to your preferred size. happy looming!

My fingers are itching to try out this stitch! The only thing missing is to show a swatch of the finished fabric. Does it stretch and in which direction most? What kind of project does this stitch want to become?
I've been looking and can't find a picture of a swatch of this or the the duplicate zig zag switch to see if I want to use either of them for my project. It's frustrating.

does anyone know how to cast off or bind off in this pattern? I have been searching for a video and no luck
I use a yarn needle that will drop through the pen to thread the pen

2:20 At this point I'd have a length of scrap yarn a couple inches wider than the loom to place across the yarn after loading the cast on onto the loom!
Disappointed. We don't get to see even a swatch to envision how a finished product will look? This is not your usual stellar work.
How do you cast off the loom using the zigzag stitch? I'm at the end of my project but still a beginner and not sure how to remove from the loom..any help would be appreciated 😊

Where did you get your hook?
It's a Cricut "weeder" hook. You can get them on lone or at any craft stores that carry Cricuts. It is SOOO much better than the hooks that come with looms.
