Like always! This video was filled with good and applicable advice, not only for math, but life in general, thanks to the golden and growth mindset. What I loved the most was the tip of writing down the steps and why! And of course, not looking at other sample problems, let alone the answers. Its always surprising the way you manage to combine life advice and quotes to school too, like, learning how to fish instead of just taking the fish; because well, in an test, you'd have to fish. 😅 It would be great to have you as a tutor, and we are so grateful that you are here in youtube, and other platforms, helping students, not only shape their academic records, but their life, so we can be fulfilled! BTW, congrats on getting married with your fiancee. And thanks for this great video! This definitely solves the problem that most people have (could, if you take action), which is trying to copy answers, not understanding how to walk (fundamentals), and giving up easily. So its great that you mentioned those themes. ❤
Thanks as always Carolina for your thoughtful and helpful comments! I'm so happy knowing that there are A-Team members like you who absorb and take to heart my advice - it makes all of the effort worth it. About life advice - yes definitely! I think that the right attitude can take you far in all aspects which is why I emphasize mindsets so much. Thanks for noticing that. And yay! More updates including about wedding dress shopping to come soon ♥ Have a great weekend!
I needed this video. Here's another tip: As a person who needs a LOT of practice just to ace her math exam, please practice as an active solver. Don't look at solutions for your math hw, do it urself and see the answer key later (as amy said)
@@Lisosouku But it is so difficult. My math teacher is the oldest teacher in our school and he was assigned to only our class. The problem is that he only teaches a set of student, he is not audible and his handwriting is the worst due to an accident where he lost his daughter( really tragic). We've complained him directly and through our parents but he is not able to raise his voice cuz it is not appropriate conduct. Furthermore, completing homework and record work itself takes about 5+ hours along with other classes and family commitments . I am not able to study in the morning too because of math tuition in which they are teaching a different lesson in which they conduct tests weekly. To add up, our physics syllabus this year includes math concepts majorly from our next year math syllabus and also should prepare for tests in classes for competitive exams which come in three years. Would anyone pls suggest some tips on how to manage it?
@@aaravmanas6600try sitting at the front of the class, where your teacher is most audible. Other than that maybe you could watch lectures on TH-cam for the topic your maths teacher teaches? You can watch it on 2x speed, perhaps you could find some time for it like even 15 minutes a day cuz something is better than nothing. It could help you catch up with your classes. One really helpful way of finding time to practice qs is doing it wherever you can find time. Like keep a book with you and say you're waiting for someone to arrive, or even during school maybe a teacher's like 10 minutes late to class. In that time you can brainstorm a question and try to solve it. You could also try to go through your textbook a bit, even a glance is better than nothing. Maybe try to make a formula sheet from the chapter. Maybe you find yourself scrolling mindlessly sometimes, you could perhaps use that time to study maths. I hope this helps. Maybe you could attempt a question and then look it up, you'll probably find the answer or a similar question. If there are others in your class who are also struggling, you guys can form a study group and teach each other. You could set goals to keep each other accountable, like trying to finish the chapter your teacher is teaching. Give yourselves a deadline like a week or so. Sometimes this pressure could help us find the time to study. I hope this helps.

So, I would like to thank you very much for this video. For me, math is 10 times more difficult because, unfortunately, I am dyscalculic, so even if I really try to focus on some math task, all the numbers suddenly blur in front of my eyes, I don't understand anything and I just look at the paper as if written in foreigh language I don't understand. My math teacher really tries to help me and gives me extra math classes. However, all my learning focuses on blindly memorizing formulas and what I need to do and then putting everything into the calculator (I really can't count). Plus, I forget everything I've learned as soon as I take the test, so for the next section I have to study even harder and revise other necessary material. I hope these tips help me and thank you again for this video. I would definitely like to see more videos about mat! ❣

I recently discovered your channel and it has helped me in so many ways. I especially appreciated the advice about finding drive instead of relying on motivation. Ive been doing the first tip every day after my Math class for a 7 months, and improved so much in my Math class! I filmed myself explaining the methods of the chapter just learned, then did some of the homework questions and explained them before the bell rang and i had to turn in my phone (break time is SO SHORT). I always strive to keep my explaining to concise percise information, working through the steps as i explain them in the video. That way, when i was studying for the math test, and didnt remember the exact steps to solving a section, i just pulled out my phone and found the video teaching myself! Over all solid technique! Also when taking notes on solving problems, specify within the notes the steps you need to take with a different pen. Helps a ton!! And dont be afraid to ask classmates or the teacher to help. I used to be embarrassed and sometimes sad when asking the teacher for help, since I compared myself to the other kids quick learning speed mathwise. Thought i would seem dumb looking for doing so. I had this feeling of pride diminish and a sense of sadness thinking like that, but by reframing my mind in a way where asking for help is not a sign of weakness, that everyone has their own learning style, and that i will eventually win if i work towards my goal, doing so became easier and easier (though there are certain days i still feel shy about it, as this is something i still work on), but i still ended at the top of my class, all because I... TLDR; 1)took videos explaining the math chapters learned right after class ended 2)Wrote detailed notes explaining the "how and why" steps of solving a problem 3)I asked the teacher or other kids for help

HEY AMY , js wanted to say that your videos are the only thing motivating me to study , it honestly means alot , the way you edit your videos make me wanna watch the whole vid despite having a bat attention span , im having my IGCSE'S math paper in about 1 1/2 month , i promise that ill use this tips while preapring and update here the result ! thankyou for making such amazing videos
TLDR; 1)took videos explaining the math chapters learned right after class ended
2)Wrote detailed notes explaining the "how and why" steps of solving a problem
3)I asked the teacher or other kids for help
