@@arishana1106 hey.. I did nothing extraordinary but sure here are some tips which I used and it worked for me
      1. You need to be determined.. that you really do wanna learn it aka will power
2 . Now that you decided to learn don't get overwhelmed about the whole book just pick a chapter which seems easy to you or which is basics and start with that
      3. Read the theory first and remember the formulas first don't worry about applicability as you will grasp it while practising and if you don't understand it ask your friends, teacher or best you tube everything is available for free
      4. This is very important to read the question and understand it.. Don't jump to solve it immediately.. if it's word problem read the question again and again .. first understand the question totally then go ahead with next step which is to think what process you should choose to solve this
      5. now another most important... Read and solve .. examples given in the chapters.. it's THE most important thing ... At first look at how it's solved and try to understand then write the questions in your copy and try to solve it ..try it again if you can't solve at first .. do it till you grasp the applicability of certain formula
Yeah that's all and at the end I'll say that practice, practice, practice it's the key ... And all the best happy studying ❤

    • @sidr8920
      @sidr8920 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

@@arishana1106 The important thing to do is to look back on simpler concepts and fundamentals and see if you're struggling with those. Don't hesitate to admit you're unconfident about something you learned years ago, because that just leads you to keep making mistakes. After that, bring up any and all doubts you have with whatever concept you're learning, and make sure to practice and review it daily (20 minutes is all you need at most). Make sure you don't make mistakes in your practice, challenge yourself, and if you do make mistakes, closely look at each one and make sure you understand how you led yourself to that mistake and make sure you can identify it if it happens and prevent it from happening in the first place.
Good luck with your math :)
Edit: Also, make sure to get enough sleep. The effectiveness of everything I have said above reduces exponentially the less sleep you get, coupled with the fact that the vast majority of your learning happens in your sleep, not while you're awake.

    Peace upon you all.
Many of you have exams right around the corner and while some of you feel pretty confident to ace them, still some might not feel up to the mark to succeed and some even maybe struggling to just pass. Don't despair and don't lose hope, because as Rumi said:
"If everything around seems dark, look again, you may be the light."
Get up, identify where you're lacking, surround yourself with positivity and succeed. And don't forget to spread your positivity to others around you. Embody wholesomeness!
Whoever's reading this, you have the potential to accomplish great positive things! Never underestimate yourself!
"Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you.
Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion."

Writing notes for myself you guys can use too!
    - Make friends in classes (for the sake of being friends with them, of course, don't use people =)) you can ask them things, get help, etc.
    - Create groupchats to get help, rant, etc.
    - Throughout the semester, reflect on bad habits to change
    - Surround yourself with good people even if its not in your classes, outside of classes
(My own tip) - Split homework with friends to get it done faster, and if you need to know how they got the answers, just ask and confirm
    For me to do
    - Make more friends in my math class
    - Create a groupchat
    - Be organized, come to class on time, finish work beforehand, make a checklist of all the topics I should know how to do
    - Go outside more often during breaks
    - Split homework in parts for people to do with me

What I hate about myself is that I never try enough. I do the bare minimum, sometimes less than bare minimum, but things always work out accordingly. When I got a really low score on entrance exam turns out whole country did that way (exam got a lot harder,if I got that score last year I wouldn't be anywhere now but that grade for this year is life saver and I did better than 90% of the people I know, and in country I was on the upper side ,when people heard my score they were all wow) , I know that I could have done better, I know that I didn't try anything near the others, not only in this exam but all of them. It's like luck is always on my side and I finish all levels without trying while I see people struggling. Sometimes people say I'm smart but I know that I'm not. I'm just lucky and things always work out for me. I'm too ashamed to share this part of myself. And I hate to see people who tried more than me in bad places. I'm always cocky, I know that I'm gonna pass the exam no matter what and it's just a big ick. Idk how I even finished school with this laziness, I'm afraid of the things that will happen in uni exams. I'm now studying for my uni exams and I hope as a first year uni student I do better than I did before
EDIT: I was lazier than ever while preparing for the exams but it all worked out, I got pretty good marks / grades

I see what you mean and honestly I’m the same way. It’s like I want trey harder but I can’t exactly put my mind set to do that because I already know it’ll work out and honestly I shouldn’t take this for granted and try to always think I’ll always pass because rn honestly the laziness is catching up to me rn so yeah I realize how doing this can really catch up to you. Hopefully we’ll be able to cut these bad habits and always try our best no matter what 💓🌸🦖

Similar to your mom buying the wrong book, I was enrolled in my online class a few weeks late, now I'm here trying to catch up on 3 weeks of work while having a C as my current grade due to missing homework and assignments. I really have to thank you Amy for sharing this inspiring story, I have actually got a similar one. As an Egyptian (with parents who have Asian traits too) I struggled a lot while studying in the 9th grade. However, I made my way to a STEM high school, which then introduced me to many hard concepts that only students taking a master's degree heard about ! Your story was so inspiring I almost felt like I was talking and not you ! Thank you for really motivating me during such a hard time.

Hi amy! This video is 🌟 AMAZING 🌟 🎉🎉❤❤. Thank you so much for sharing YOUR life experiences with us and giving us the FIRE inside❤❤. I just wanted to ask one question😅 that how did you manage to study, when you felt the most lethargic, lazy, sleepy and just not feeling like it (both physically and mentally)😊😊 It would be great if you answered my question❤❤. I have a very few days for my unit test for which I was stressing a lot, but this video made me realize, instead of stressing, let me use the very little time I have wisely and productively 🎉🎉❤❤😊😊

Hi Amy! I love your channel and your content and especially this one bc of storytimes like these which are so inspiring and relatable so thank you so much for all you do for us ❤ it IS important to get back up even after a disappointing score and you’ve proved to me that the struggle is real but so is the improvement!!
I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to improve on and excel in a subject like English especially those darn multiple choice questions where there’s not a clear answer and no “formula” to arrive at the right answer?

Just wondering, how to totally eliminate the noise in our heads while studying? I know some friends of mine were so stressed enough during finals that cause them to unable to clear out their unnecessary thoughts during examination, causing severe distraction during their examination week. They seek for my advices and enlightenment but I could not help any because I never had these problems previously, may I ask how to assist them so as to enable them clearing out those distraction sounds in their head during examination? Hi, thanks so much for your kind words! Makes me happy knowing I'm helpful.
Hm, I think first of all, we need to create habits of focus, which starts with getting off social media and other things that decrease our ability to focus over time. Also, I think we often forget our ability to control ourselves so typically more effort will train yourself to be more focused over time!

honestly, yes this video is super helpful, but i really want a video from someone who doesn’t think the world is ending when they get a B. i have Bs in almost all my classes (+ A in ap lit and astronomy but the ap lit one might go down cuz i flunked a quiz on something i wasn’t aware we were supposed to read today) and then a D in ap macroecon. it makes me sick to my stomach. im a senior in hs, and i have not gotten a single A in anything all my hs years except english classes and orchestra. which im not pursuing either in college and career. my applications are almost solely based on the fact that i improved (because i did go from Ds, Fs, and Cs to Bs and Cs and my mental health and soft skills improved exponentially) but if i can’t even show that with my midterm grades, i am utterly terrified for college acceptance/rejection letters.
(me literally moping as you said not to but honestly im explaining my situation because i want either comfort to know i can still turn around and still do good and colleges might still accept me or because i want advice help😩)

    Needed this sooooo much
I just recently made peace with the fact that we all have problems in life. Whenever I previously faced a challenging class and STRUGGLED my brain would go into self-loathing mode where id just give up on it. Id reason this out by saying that the topper in that class wouldnt be facing this much difficulty, hence there is something inherently wrong with me. ( perfectionist alert )
Struggle and resistance are actually reallllyyy normal for people who strive to work hard. And the topper is a topper because of how much they worked, not how their conditontions were intially or inherently.
Also, please feel free to flex about your marks. Bragging rights are so valid, especially for someone like you who uses her circumstances to motivate and inspire others to feel like they can achieve their goals too!

    • @HumanHuman.
      @HumanHuman. 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I FULLY endorse your last paragraph about 'bragging rights'!! What an excellent thought-out phrase. I have been telling Amy the same thing: that never ever hesitate to brag about your achievements, because you're not doing it for bragging for the sake of bragging but rather for the sake of inspiring others by her own example!
"It's not bragging if you can back it up."
      ~ Muhammad Ali
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for these gem words! I truly pray that you achieve your positive goals and ace your studies!
Life is bound to have problems, that's why rather than avoiding them, it's best to create a life with 'better problems'; the problems we ENJOY solving. That's what 'process' is. You can read Mark Manson's book "The Subtle Art..." to know more about this concept.

I hope Amy could answer this.First I agree that doing various hard problems help;however, how do you guarantee or how do you assure that most of the time doing them can improve yourself? There will always be a time that you ran into a problem that you have no idea how to solve it whatsoever and that probably happened pretty often whether you’re doing homework or self practice.sometimes I find my self spending hours on 1 problem, and I got nothing and those hours I put in technically went to waste because I got nothing. So how do you deal with that problem illustrated above? Thank you

I try pretty hard in maths and I am good at it.I don’t struggle much in it at all…but can you share some tips about making less silly mistakes? Because I know pretty much all the sums that should come in the exam but I can’t go *confident* because I know I might make silly errors…Can you please help me?

Although it is a bit hard to admit, most of us have a lot of excuses for our bad habits, and instead of pointing ourselves for the consequences of our OWN actions, we blame others, due to shame or other reasons, but hearing your story, was really inspiring to actually take action in that area, in the end, whatever we do, it is only going to affect us (if it does not involve other people), and that can either be awful or amazing, so keeping that in my mind, it's pretty nice, and a bit scary, but also nice, ha, ha. In the end, i love! I love how all of your tips are so... Not school related? But at the same time, they are, in the end, your channel has been the most helpful in my straight A journey. 💞

Carolina, I truly appreciate you taking out the time and effort to write such well thought-out words for Amy and her community on a regular basis!
And yes, we must take 'responsibility' for own actions. While we might blame others for situations happening to us, in the end, the 'responsibility' to react to that situation in a positive way is always ours. We choose whether our 'response' to that situation will be positive or negative.
With great 'responsibility', comes great power!

I recently had my mock finals and I did..alright, but my chem marks dropped soooo bad. I went from getting an A (second highest) in my previous chem test (the test in which the class average was like C) to then getting a B (veryy close to C) in this exam. (It was harder than the first one but my friends got A so) and girll just the dread I felt when i was flipping through the pages. Even the teacher asked me what happened because i'm usually good at chem.
However I was like, ok let me analyse this situation, I realised that I lost like 16/20 marks in ochem and like 7-8 marks in multiple choice. So now im determined to absolutely ace my chem finals but the stress and the challenge is making me procrastinate...but from today I'll start ochem and doing even just two reactions is better than doing none, and girl you best believe I will eat, breathe and sleep chem lmao, wish my luck

So one time I got a 3.9 in maths which equals 65% and I was so disappointed and so devastated because I studied the day before the test and I didn't understand the concepts. Then I had 2 tests about linear equations and I got a 97%😂.It's very important to understand the conceot esp in maths
