You don't only get one shot at the age's of 18-24 that's a scarcity mindset. You get as many shots as you work for and make possible for yourself. Facts. Bet on yourself people. Because it's up to YOU to make anything happen which you can make whatever you want happen for yourself at ANY time provided you have the will power to do so. You can use any of the tools the world has to offer to make it. School, Trade School, Military, Contracting Jobs, Self Taught skills, Relationship Opportunities, or even if you have to work multiple dead end jobs in order to save to invest in other things. You just need to learn money management and budgeting from the start and build a plan from there. You don't have to depend on any school. I'm not discrediting schooling but you don't NEED it to be financially well off. Coming from someone who knows personally.

This is the response of someone who didn’t understand what was said. For starters, you are only each age for 1 year. If you are 19 or older, you will in fact never be 18 again, or have the exact same opportunities that society provides to 18 year olds. This is true for every age. Secondly, yes, you can try and try again as many times as you wish. The point is that there will come a time for all of us when there is no more time. Whether that’s due to sickness, life situations, or death. The point is to take advantage of the time you have NOW because we all lose time at some point.

im currently 23 years old, and i feel stuck. stuck that i don't know what i'm doing. or am i really in the right path that i'm supposed to be. the pandemic took the "one shot in life" from me because those years are the height of covid-19. i never got to experience my first day in college or even attend my highschool graduation because it was cancelled with the growing number of covid cases in my country. everytime i think about those years lost, i look at myself and i still think that mentally, i'm my 18 year old me, waiting to graduate highschool and taking up the nerves to walk up on stage infront of 500 students in my class. but i never got to do that. i'll be 24 at the start of next year and i feel like i haven't experienced enough of life. maybe because i got depressed and 2 years was just me trying to keep myself alive everyday. it was a struggle to wake up. and i feel that i've wasted so much time accomplishing nothing. even now, i don't know if i'm doing enough to be where i want to be. the thought of my peers leaving me behind while they continue to go on and achieve amazing thing in life crushes me because i thought i would be there too right now, but that's not the case.
i stumbled upon your videos, and i hope i can learn and pick up some stuff to keep myself motivated to finish this degree. taking inspirations in life not as a life guide or self help book but a new way to see life itself, a new perspective on what to look for to finally enjoy living.

I’m 25, just started a new course and am now studying something I actually love. It took me two failed courses to finally find out what I wanted to do with my life. I could’ve gotten my degree from my previous course but I’d have to work a job I hate (for minimum wage) and that thought terrified me. So at this point, even though I’ll only be able to start working in my field once I’m 30, I’m still glad I made this decision.
It’s never too late imo. After all, my mom got her psychiatry degree at 49 and her driver’s license at 52 so I’ve witnessed that you’re never too old to learn something new. It just takes courage and discipline.

I love this video. This woman single handedly made me feel less guilty about my life. Every other video I watch tells me to hustle endlessly because once I'm 25 it's over. I won't be able to do anything. But she wiped that all away with this video. The fact that she focused on talking about the most Important aspects of life instead of those repeated, monotonous opinions fills me with intense relief. I am doing okay, and trying my best, she just re-affirmed that for me. Thank you so much.❤

Thank You Amy Wang for posting this video!!! I realized that most of the time, I had a low perception of myself. I always think if things didn't go well then it is my fault. If other people opinions most of the time are better than mine. That other people is better than mine. Somethings like this, makes me doubt myself, felt like im less better, not confident, lower than other people. But in reality, I'm not like that. Maybe this perception of mine is happening because of the past or my environment. But I should not feel that my value is lower than other people, I should not feel that my ideas, my opinion is not as good as other people. I should believe in my own value. So when I watch this video, and find out that I will be okay as long as I realize in my own value, my education, my skills, my habit, and other things, I will be alright. Right now I'm still learning to be more confident and learn to believe in myself more. I hope I'm getting better and better. Once again, thank you Amy!!❤❤

I personally believe like the apostles and disciples, and especially solomon, that we can get all the richest and freedom we want but there will always be an empty spot that our spirit has been longing for, and that is a relationship with God, Welcoming God to your life and letting him fill that empty space, he will fill it with reasurrance, peace, true joy, unfailing love.

Nowadays we feel like our life is over by the time we reach adulthood, but an average person lives, what, 80 years? So you're not even half-way through your life. Hold on to your dreams. If they don't work out now, they will in the future, as long as you keep working towards them-you still have a lot of time left. It's really tiring how hard and how long you must work for your goals, but if they were easy to get, they wouldn't be worth fighting for :-)

18-35 is more appropriate since that’s ‘YA age range’ though that’s just for marketing and census purposes
in general, just focus on your own personal timeline and what fulfills you most of all. i’m still just in my 20s yet for the past few years i’ve decided to hammer in on healing at my own pace, because life feels way more fulfilling that way. then 2y ago i started to hone in one what i actually want to do with my life, and after that i am here now with more resources, communities, and a healthier mindspace, all because i prioritized my soul first
the Process is the destination itself. don’t worry about age ranges, just keep being alive, live in the present, do your own thing, and enjoy yourself; Bill Hicks said it best
“today a young man on acid realized, that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself, subjectively; there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here’s Tom with the weather.”

I used to be a people pleaser until I was in school but when I entered high school or 11th class I moved to another city and there I saw whole new world everyone was running behind something which they don't even know if that's what they want and even I was in that race
I studied my whole strength courage A DEEP THANKS AND MORE THAN THAT TO MY MOM WHO HAS BEEN THROUGH THAT ROLLER COASTER WITH ME
Then I landed in a medical college not much prestigious but kind of standard and good but really STRICT
I don't know why but I started to feel this is not my path in life s
So I have to analyse myself
Deeper to see what would make me happy
And keep my priorities straight and
I really hope that u would get through this phase and find my happiness in some thing I love to do
I understand that life needs a goal
Like said in the video I need to visualize the end first rather than just blindly engaging in a road trip not knowing the destination

    Hi Amy!!!
I love all of the content that you put out for us!! Even more so the ones about your own experiences!!
I was not a studious person at all (I think I still amn't!!). I scraped average marks in high school, felt like studying was pointless, had no "objective" in life, and had no one I could call a friend.
I struggled in school, but once I was in 12th, and had to give my entrance tests, I trained myself to study. For the first time, studying did not seem exactly pointless!!
My exams would go on for 2-3 weeks. In my first unit test, I hadn't really studied but I knew i needed marks, so crammed as much as i could. I did not perform very well in it.
Then there was a mid term, for which I studied fairly well. In the pressure of constant examinations, I developed a habit of studying (almost everyday, but Idk how productive it was or wasn't). I just made a habit of sitting at the study table and trying.
There was a second midterm, which was made to be easier than the first one.
From then, it just came to me to study... as in, i had a good mindset, and i couldnt crack the national level exam with 11 lakh students, but I cracked the state level one with a decent rank. No one had ever expected that from me, and my mom cried when she found out.
We had a four month break after all the exams, and then counselling, college allotment, etc.
I lost my study habit in those 4 months completely and reverted back almost to how i was initially.
    That's a bummer
I didnt try to preserve it, because it was like a treat of four months, a reward I wanted to fully enjoy!
So I began to watch anime and finished 30+ of them in those 4 months.
College began, and I didn't realize how much I degraded my own growth from the previous years.
I had gone from 60 to 20 in just 4 months!!!!!!
It was back to average student phase!
Now I am in sem 2 of college, and am trying to figure out how exactly i should get good marks.
But again, I have started to unsee the point in getting good grades...
In 12th it was to enroll in a good college, and get a fee benefit.
    But now?
I noticed that fear of being left behind is as good a 'motivator' as any...
One of my friends has gotten an 8.85 gpa in sem 1 and aims for a 9.5. I'm sure they'll do it. But I am NOT sure of whether I can or not. I still struggle with keeping friends, constantly worried they'll hate me or smth...
Now I try drawing inspiration from you, from the top scorers in my class, from my friends, from the teachers that just support you, from family, from any place I can find it.
I am trying to study regularly. Just making that habit is hard, without a tangible deadline or goal in front of my face.
I will power through it!!! And work on my electrical studying part right now!!(Though I am not getting the answers correctly rn😭)
    Lots of ❤ from India!!!

Really needed this video, im 18 and im finishing trade school this week. I got a job offer from a commercial HVAC company that will give me good benefits and pay. But it doesn’t lead me in the direction I want to go in. I want to do my own work on the side take my own money independently and you have inspired me to towards a company. I’ll help me focus in this field more. Thank you!

This is also a good reminder for the paradox of choice. The only way to know what the "right" decision was is by looking in retrospect as you can only control yourself and hope the world responds the way you want it to.
The best you can do is to try and move forward with the information you have in the present.

I'm 25, and still to this day I can't believe people don't consider the end before taking on anything. I have always been like this my whole life, since I was 7 years old. I like to remind everyone, where are you going? What do you want? Why do you want it? And how can you achieve it? In the end, you are crafting your own life and your story. Care not what others think too much, be brave, keep a high spirit, and march forward.

I'm 19 now, I choose coding faculty, and never got any job in my life (at least for now)
But I must say, your advices didn't help me... But not because they're not good, they're precious, but I already have them in my mind since my 18~
You see, I lost my entire childhood and adolescence due to my family... Trauma is much more serious than it looks like, believe me... But was exactly for it that I were able to get my mind through the thoughts in your video. When I healed myself from most of my trauma in my 16s, everything I wanted was to gain as max as experience I could get... No matter if I was wrong or hurt myself, every single of these would be of some use for me... And I was right. Most of them were complete mistakes and hurts, and they all helped me improve and have a more built mind.
And with 18 years old, I already saw myself pretty mature. I discovered so much about myself, so much about things that I love, also about how I want a calm and cosy life... Ahh... I can really be in peace with myself.
Trauma did played a great role to build myself, made me don't have a life that I could think now that's more easy like a lot of people do when they become adults, and boosted me up to be healthy with myself and don't let me get down like I was doing before... But even if I can say it helped to build me, I can never say that it defines me. I am Aurora, a trans girl who loves cosy and cute things and bright colors (principally pink and white), and no one will ever be allowed to change me.

1:38 "I picked chemical engineering because I liked chemistry and math" I did the same thing and it was a bad decision. I picked materials engineering and biological science, because I loved biochem in high school and thought studying these two things would be enjoyable. I guessed that simply meant I'd become a researcher one day, and didn't think much of what it meant to go into research. But the more I progressed through my degree and was being confronted by the fact what I was studying was supposed to be building me towards an end goal, the more I knew I didn't want to do research despite how much I enjoyed learning about these interesting topics. In fact, thinking about doing research made me depressed and dislike what I was learning. At the end of second year of university, I finally decided to change degrees into Civil Engineering. I enjoyed the first-year unit on it, but importantly, I could envision the end goal better. I wanted to study civil engineering not just because the math was interesting, but because I wanted to contribute to civil engineering projects as part of my career once the studying part was over. Knowing why I was studying and what goal I was working towards definitely helped improve my studies, and it taught me the importance of goal setting too
