I try to help everyone. The wd40 helps to install the studs easier especially when a tire is a heavier ply. Thanks for watching and the comment

They were molded in the tire and snow tires have been made this way for years. Thanks for watching and the comment

Buy nokians that are studded at the factory. The studs have anchors and I've never lost one on the 2 sets I've had. They're also better rolling resistance, tread wear and grip than the other brands i had in the 00s

Thank You for the info. I did look at them the problem was. These Generals are the only tire I could get in a non directional LT235 75 15. For a plow truck, studded nondirectional tires are a must. Thanks for watching and the comment

@@GMechinic why do you need non-directional?

Directionals give the best traction going forward not in reverse. There is times with a plow truck you need that extra traction in reverse. The other thing is wear.
When rotating them I have found directionals dont wear as good because you can run them one direction. Thanks for the comment and for watching

Everything right except the WD40. That isn't for rubber.... There are plenty of lube that are made for rubber, WD40 is not.

Thanks for the info but I have used wd40 for studding tires like this for years without any issues.

@@GMechinic They did use asbestos for many years before they had any problems with it. Lead paint too.
Change to a proper lube, it's not that hard to grab a bottle of wd40 specialist silicone instead of the bottle you are using. Or even loctite 480 that will glue the studs to the rubber once it's cured.
